I have stayed here a lot. The rooms are so nice one of the best marriott's I have stayed. Parking is 45 a day but your right in the heart of union square. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Ask for a bay view room on sunny day you'll love waking up with the blinds open.

This was a really crappy hotel when it was still a Crowne Plaza. I'm told it's marginally improved. But the layout is awkward for conferences, the rooms are small, and the staff rather shirty. As I said to a friend, I've been thrown out of better.

I left my heart in the heart of San Francisco! This hotel is right in the heart of it all, a few blocks from the Cable Car stops, a few steps from Chinatown, and right in the thick of the downtown area with many shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean and modern and we enjoyed our room very much. Parking is expensive here, but we chose to take advatage of it, because walking around SF can be challenging with so much to see all spread out and all of those hills to head up and down. The lobby is small, which doesn't bother me, but I know that some people (and I'm thinking of my mother-in-law here) enjoy a large and impressive lobby. I was happy here, though, and would recommend it! Enjoy your stay.

Stayed here a few times. The last stay was on NYE. Great choice, as it was about a 20 minute walk to see the fireworks at the Embarcadero. Was a little bummed that the concierge lounge (VIP's for Marriott Rewards) was closed on NYE and the following day. Hotel is conveniently located walking distance to Chinatown, Market Street (shopping!), Soma, Nob Hill and the Embarcadero.Yes, It can be a lot of walking, so make sure to pack comfortable shoes. There are endless options of entertainment, dining, shopping and nightlife. Rooms are your typical Marriott full service standard rooms. However, the rooms here are updated with granite counter tops, LG flat screen TV's, Ipod docking station and Bath and Bodyworks toiletries. They offer two double beds, one queen bed, or a suite with a king and pull out sofa room types. The standard room is about 400 square feet. Request a room facing Union Square, or Alcatrez.
The bar at the lobby level, Bin480 is spacious, modern, simple and open. I hosted a mixer here because it typically doesn't get crowded and you can always find a good amount of seating for 20+ people as a walk-in. Happy hour is from Monday to Thursday from 4-7pm and offers drink and food specials.
Parking is valet only. For a 24-hour period with tax, it comes out to $65. Just 2 blocks away is a public overnight parking structure on Sutter & Stockton and for a 24-hour period, it's about $35. $60 seems like a typical rate for hotel parking in this area.
I am a huge Marriott fan! What I love most, is the location and always knowing what to expect from the brand. The JW Marriott nearby is great too, but I like the rooms here better, it's a little more modernized with vibrant colors.

Solid, basic, Marriott hotel here. Feeling here is similar to staying at a Marriott somewhere in the world other than in the US - you know it's a Marriott, and its pretty basic, but there's something just a little exotic feeling.
Stayed here for New Year's eve - absolutely fabulous service. Didn't eat here, but the menu looked surprisingly appealing.

This Marriot is clean, nice, and has a pretty good bar in the lobby. I came here for a conference around Halloween. It was super convenient to walk to nearby bars, the Metreon, and of course, the shopping mall and Union Square! Great for those visiting the city and looking to do touristy activities.
