Love this place just to walk around...high end shops here means I do more window shopping than "spend" shopping haha. On nice days there's lots of people walking around and walking their dogs too.

Just off of highway 280 in San Jose is a strange house built by a window who inherited the Winchester Rifle fortune. Told by a fortune teller that she would not die as long as she could hear the sound of hammers building on her house, she built a house that could only be built with equal parts of money ...

    SAP Center

SAP is an awesome venue for concerts, live events, and sports games. The arena is huge and there's usually some sort of event going on, so check online for the calendar. Parking is really expensive close the venue, so check the parking lots closer to DTSJ for cheap parking. A lot of people walk down Santa Clara Street after events, ...

    Happy Hollow Park & Zoo

    21 reviews

Nice small park for young kids. They have lot's of activities, a small zoo, amusement park and some nice picnic area. the only problem is that it's a place you can come only when the weather is nice because everything is outdoor. The price (12$ for adults) is more than reasonable and kids under the age of 2 are free.

I graduated from high school at this very garden. It's very beautiful with a lot of flowers and fountains for folks to take a look at. Parking is around the neighborhood so it might take awhile to find.

Great place to be. Even better if you get there earlier, smaller crowds. But wait, what am I talking about!? There's always a small crowd! The bouncers do a great job of crowd control. Single Barrel does an excellent job of creating a more intimate experience. Only a set amount of people are allowed in. They also police noise levels. ...

    Cinearts At Santana Row

    9 reviews

It's a small theater at the end of Santana Row that plays more indie/Oscar bait-ish movies. I've seen some great films there. The old movie decor is also pretty cute. Be prepared to be on a parking witch hunt if you decide to go any time Santana Row is hopping.

    Single Barrel

Best drinks I've had in SJ! Amazing speakeasy. Come early as the line gets ridiculous for good reason. The basil gimlet was so delicious and the bartenders were great as selecting the right drinks for each guest.

SJSU is the California state public school for the San Jose area, and one of the better ones. Business and engineering are solid here and employment potential is high. Around campus, check out the student union (there's a bowling alley downstairs) and take a walk through Washington Square.

    Improv Comedy Club

    10 reviews

This is one of the nicest comedy clubs I've ever been to. I've seen a lot of great comedians here - Bobby Lee, Frank Caliendo, Carlos Mencia, Jay Mohr, Mark Curry - and some lesser known comedians who opened for the headliners. I've found that a lot of the times, the bits from the opening comedians have been a lot ...

    Sharks Ice at San Jose

    8 reviews

Why not skate where the Sharks skate?!! They have 2 rinks here, don't know if they ever open up both to the public. There is a section reserved for beginners in public skating where they have plastic containers to hold on to. I started there for a few minutes and made the trek around the whole rink a few times ...
