Love this place just to walk around...high end shops here means I do more window shopping than "spend" shopping haha. On nice days there's lots of people walking around and walking their dogs too.

    Children's Discovery Museum

I used to love this museum as a kid. It's a little more hands-on than the Tech Museum and there's so much fun science and the like to be had there. If you haven't been, wander around the park outside for a while to find the giant Monopoly board. At some point, it held a record for being the largest ...

The place I go to for watching SJ Sharks games is also a venue for various concerts throughout the year. I saw Maroon Five with their opener The Strokes a few years ago, and it was a blast! The place is easy to get to, either by car or using Caltrain.

A small park and zoo perfect for families to spend a lazy weekend day. When my daughter was younger we came here and she loved riding Danny the Dragon - a ride that my wife rode as a child. Happy Hollow closed for a remodeling, but has reopened.

This garden is a photographer's wildest dream came true. It might not be the best picnic spot. The garden is beautiful but it is also rather small. It took no more than an hour to walk and look through everything. There are a lot of roses but not a lot of trees (aka shaded area). However, if you are into ...

If you are looking for Japanese grocery item, your best bet is Mitsuwa. If they don't have it, you most likely have to order it online. Excellent snack selection. They carry a lot of seasonal and special edition Japanese snacks not easily found elsewhere. Excellent fresh produce and sashimi selection (but come here early since good stuff sell out fast). ...

Best drinks I've had in SJ! Amazing speakeasy. Come early as the line gets ridiculous for good reason. The basil gimlet was so delicious and the bartenders were great as selecting the right drinks for each guest.

It's the Improv, so your general experience is going to be similar if not the same to how your Improv experience would be anywhere else. They get some good acts here every now and then. The food and drinks are good but not memorable.

If you ever have seen "The Notebook" starring Ryan Gosling, and wondered what the town could have been, that town could have been Willow Glen.
