Beautiful place to stroll on weekends. Beautifully decorated with flowers and high end stores. Good selection of restaurants. Limited parking options. Beware of snob people who pretend they are rich.

Great venue. Came here for a Sharks game in February 2012 and the area is electric. No, it doesn't snow in San Jose but it might as well. Parking, which is always the toughest here is best avoided -- take Caltrain or the 22 bus if you must. But if you have to, take the Stephen's Meat Lot where you ...

    Happy Hollow Park & Zoo

    4
    21 reviews

Nice small park for young kids. They have lot's of activities, a small zoo, amusement park and some nice picnic area. the only problem is that it's a place you can come only when the weather is nice because everything is outdoor. The price (12$ for adults) is more than reasonable and kids under the age of 2 are free.

I graduated from high school at this very garden. It's very beautiful with a lot of flowers and fountains for folks to take a look at. Parking is around the neighborhood so it might take awhile to find.

Wow, what an amazing place to get drinks. Yes they are on the more expensive side, but by golly you get the best bartenders giving you undivided attention with top notch mixing skills. Friday night was my first time and even at midnight there was an hour along wait! Came in just in time for a drink ( The Bramble ...

Yeah, it'll flatten out after the next ridge. ~trail master This dirty, dusty, yet windy trail, whatever particular loop trail this was called is challenging and I hear is similar to mission peak in a few spots. But allow me to warn you that no, NO, No it doesnt flatten out over the next ridge, or around the next corner, ...

    Cinearts At Santana Row

    4
    9 reviews

It's a small theater at the end of Santana Row that plays more indie/Oscar bait-ish movies. I've seen some great films there. The old movie decor is also pretty cute. Be prepared to be on a parking witch hunt if you decide to go any time Santana Row is hopping.

    Christmas In the Park

    3.5
    13 reviews

Christmas in the Park is one of the few holiday events in San Jose. Unfortunately, it's so crowded and there isn't much to see. I would probably enjoy it more if there were less people, the park isn't that big so it makes it a hassle to park and also enjoy the scenery.

    Mitsuwa Marketplace

If you are looking for Japanese grocery item, your best bet is Mitsuwa. If they don't have it, you most likely have to order it online. Excellent snack selection. They carry a lot of seasonal and special edition Japanese snacks not easily found elsewhere. Excellent fresh produce and sashimi selection (but come here early since good stuff sell out fast). ...

Best drinks I've had in SJ! Amazing speakeasy. Come early as the line gets ridiculous for good reason. The basil gimlet was so delicious and the bartenders were great as selecting the right drinks for each guest.

If you didn't know, I always need a good laugh. Doesn't matter if it's me cracking a joke or someone else throwing out good comebacks at me, I like laughing which leads to happiness! HAHA! Sharks Ice at San Jose

Why not skate where the Sharks skate?!! They have 2 rinks here, don't know if they ever open up both to the public. There is a section reserved for beginners in public skating where they have plastic containers to hold on to. I started there for a few minutes and made the trek around the whole rink a few times ...

    California Theatre

What a grand and opulent theatre! This is easily my favorite historic landmark in San Jose, and truly a venue that everyone should visit. I wish they played movies here on a regular basis, but every time the Cinequest Film Festival rolls around, I make sure to catch a film here. The theatre is home to the Symphony, so I'll ...

    San Jose Museum of Art

Nice museum. Depends on what is being show at the moment because I don't think they have much of a permanent collection. Its small, which is good because you don't get so burnt out like in larger museums and can really spend time looking at each piece.
