El Jardin Tequila Bar & Restaurant

    8 reviews

Between the three of us, we received two phone calls during our lunch here, and both times we managed to make people on the phone believe we were in Mexico. The live mariachi band was playing behind us, and as we were sitting on plush lounge furniture sipping on muddled grapefruit margaritas, it definitely felt like we were in Mexico, ...

    Original Gravity Public House

An ever changing beer menu to keep you on your toes. I almost always am able to find a beer or two or three or five that I like. They even opened up the middle area where they have fridges of sours waiting for me. Plus, there's a tasty sausage menu to keep your belly happy while you're knocking back ...

    V Bar

    11 reviews

A - OK. It's not a bad place to stop by if you're in Santana Row. Definitely not a place that I would stay all night. It can get pretty crowded, drinks are pretty skimpy, and the bartenders are not always at their best. FYI -drinks at Blowfish are the same price but they give you double the amount. Sometimes ...

    Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium

    6 reviews

This is one cool place to experience Egypt when visiting Egypt is not readily possible. Normally when almost every exhibit in a musuem is a replica, it is not so cool. But, when the museum contains replicas of Egyptian collections from all over the world's famous museums, it has brought Egyptian history together...all in one one collective, now THAT ...

    Hedley Club

    6 reviews

The lounge is really quite beautiful, though small. The d├ęcor has a Spanish Villa feel and gives the illusion that you're in an outdoor courtyard. How clever. Warm wood tones, fire place and large comfy chairs fill the center area. It was a bit crowded when we arrived but there were plenty of stools open at the bar. The bf ...

    Flames Eatery & Bar

    8 reviews

AWESOME LATE NIGHT HAPPY HOUR FROM 9PM-MIDNIGHT!! Flames was our saving grace last night, as we drove around downtown SJ looking for a spot to fill our growling bellies after a show at City Lights Theater. Now this is the spot for some late night gorging! The place was popping off, as everyone was getting their late night drunkie munchies ...

    San Jose Sharks

    6 reviews

I love watching hockey. Live is best, but TV is great too, especially if you happen to be in Canada during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Whether it's Calgary, Edmonton, or even Medicine Hat, it's not hard to find a big screen and a big game under Don Cherry's expert and blunt guidance. I have also been to an NHL game ...

    Japanese Friendship Garden

    7 reviews

It's nice to wander around here after having a picnic in Kelley Park. You'd think I'd be tired of this place considering how many countless field trips ended up here, but the garden was always my favorite part. If you come on a weekend, you might see a wedding party taking pictures in this area. It's a bit of a ...

    Downtown San Jose

    9 reviews

Downtown San Jose doesn't have the big city appeal of San Francisco and the weekend crowds can be somewhat strange, but there are some pretty nice gems to be found in downtown San Jose. San Pedro Square, especially with that new market area, is always a fun place to hang around. There are some great dive bars in the area ...

    Vintage Wine Bar

Must try their wine tastings. If you're just starting out getting to know your wines, trying one of their Pinot noir tastings or a lower tier jack of cabs tastings for Cabernet Sauvignon would be good. Grab a few friends and enjoy those tannins!

Most people don't even know this place exists. It's at the very top of Hotel Valencia in Santana Row. I guess this is San Jose's "rooftop bar". A great place to have some drinks and apps on a beautiful day.
