    THIS IS THE NICEST PLACE OF COSTA RICA OR WEALTHY AREA I SHOULD SAY. THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT IS AWESOME IN PLAZA ESCASU IS LOCATED TO ALL THE FREEWAYS AND THE BEAUTIFUL MALL.

    A throw back to the Costa Rican backcountry surfing towns of yesteryear. Unlike much of the Pacific coast, not a lot has changed here in the past 20 years. It's still gravel roads, surf shack bars, dense jungle, waterfalls and amazing surf. Great place to kick back and lose yourself.

    Basically the road ends here. Take it past Jaco (which apparently is overrun with drugs and prostitutes) and you have the amazing little town of Quepos. It's near San Antonio National park - we saw more animals in this park than we did staying 3 days in the rainforest. Multiple beautiful beaches. I want to go back!
