I love Manuel Antonio and Quepos, they are quaint, vibrant and eclectic seaside towns with a mix of all types of people and resource levels. Luxury is juxtaposed with cattle ranching and the subsisitence economy. Forests of wildlife swell with boldness around every turn inspiring the lenses of tourists and residents alike. Common sense is the watchword for the aversion ...

A throw back to the Costa Rican backcountry surfing towns of yesteryear. Unlike much of the Pacific coast, not a lot has changed here in the past 20 years. It's still gravel roads, surf shack bars, dense jungle, waterfalls and amazing surf. Great place to kick back and lose yourself.

You will be forgiven for not hearing about this small town in Costa Rica. In fact you will be forgiven for only being able to find minimal information about this district in the province of Alajuela. You will even be forgiven for not knowing that it is located in Alajuela mountain range, and is one of the most scenic places ...

Playa Hermosa is a beach break paradise for big wave loving surfers. It is quiet, safe and beautiful with a variety of lodging options from luxury to backpacker-style hostels. This is the place to stay if you don't want to be in the middle of party town, but don't want to be too far away either. Jaco is just a ...

Los Sueños is a beautiful gated resort community on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. Everything imaginable for a pampered vacation is at your fingertips here - golfing, sportsfishing, fine dining and shopping, spas and beautiful pools and beaches. I've spent a bit of time here walking around the grounds and was extremely impressed by the attention to detail, care for ...
