San Jose Marriot is next door to the San Jose Convention Center and adjacent to Cesar Chavez Park. It's very convenient to get from here to wherever you need to go in downtown.

I've stayed here a few times for my birthday weekend. It's easily accessible to downtown SJ, so almost everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful rooms with nice views of the downtown area and valet service is quick.

Generally speaking, Marriotts are not bad chain hotels. They usually have a nice, clean room, reasonably comfortable beds, ok showers and always, always a pool and a gym.
This one, of course then, is no different. The rooms are nice, they're actually quite a lot bigger than I expected them to be and not too shabby if you wanted to fit a party in here ... not that I would advise such a thing! Hotel has a noise policy and they will come by knocking if you create a stampede in your room.
The TV is a bit outdated, at least in the one I was in but this was a few years ago so perhaps they have finally upgraded to LCDs. I don't dislike this hotel, and I think a few years ago I would have been raving in a five star review, but to truly enjoy and travel in an area, I feel like one needs to experience some departure from the standard.
This is very much the standard, so stay if you find a cheap deal, otherwise the parking $$ makes it hard to justify if you can find a boutique hotel elsewhere.
