Another free attraction in Barcelona, it’s a pity that most tourists seem to overlook Sant Pau del Camp. Because this little church – the oldest one in the city – holds some really special secrets. Monks have lived here throughout the ages, and the aura of peace that still holds sway makes this Romanesque complex a welcome way to escape the life that rides on rough-shod in the surrounding district of the Raval. One tip: ask for Jordi, and if you’re very lucky, he may even sing some Gregorian chant especially for you.Recommended for:
