Santa Barbara Hostel

230 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33137
3 reviews

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, the Santa Barbara hotel is a dump. At first glance, I couldn't imagine anyone staying there, and it seemed rather empty once I walked in. It's a courtyard style motel, with zero amenities. Everything looks worn and dirty, and the lobby looks like a cramped hole. All around the property, there is construction going on, ...

    Blue Door at the Delano

0.25 mi from Santa Barbara Hostel
    7 reviews

First time in Miami back in the year 2000, we went to have our best meal at the Blue Door located inside the Delano Hotel. It was party owned at the time by Madonna. The decor inside takes your breath way and you feel like you're in a romantic resort filled with satin curtains blowing in the wind.

Nobu is pretty reliably good, high-end sushi, and this one is no exception. Great cocktails, beautifully prepared sushi. Prices are high, but they treat you well and make you feel like you are getting your money's worth.

For us regular folk gaining entrance to the exclusive Mynt Lounge is the pinnacle of becoming one of the Miami Beach in-crowd. The list of celebrities, famous businessmen, and athletes that frequent this establishment is staggering. Visitors here better bring their "A" game, because unless you are looking good and acting cool you better be among the previous list of ...

This is the type of Restaurant you imagine when you think of dining in South Beach. We showed up with a party of 10 or so and at first were a little nervous that we may be too rowdy for the ambience. Within a half hour there we sparkling drinks being served, bachelorette parties dancing on tables, and music non ...

Hands down, the best place for innovative Latin American fusion cooking by one of Miami's most famous chefs, Douglas Rodriguez (so yes, you'd better make reservations as far in advance as possible). The most famous thing on the menu are the crazily creative ceviche appetizers, also available with cocktails at the bar. This svelte dining space is inside the Sanctuary ...

OK, I will start by admitting I really love the Delano. If you can't stay here, at least come to eat. Bianca has both indoor and outdoor tables. Sit outside, order some cocktails, and enjoy the view of the Delano garden and pools behind them. The food is Italian and tasty (if a bit pricey for what it is). I ...

The vibe here is simply divine. Once you step inside the patio, you'll feel like a king in a Tuscan villa. You'll be enchanted before you even taste the food, which is excellent. For discerning taste buds, you could easily watch your soul leave your body after trying the soup. I wasn't sure what anything was, nor could I pronounce ...

Southerners know all about luxury travel and food too.
