I'm impressed with the hospitality! Front desk was welcoming and friendly. Everybody had a smile on their face and pleasant demeanors.
The lobby was elaborate and provided lots of space to relax and have a glass of wine.
There are two restaurants which includes a sports bar and grill.
The room was decent sized and clean. Great view of Great America which is right across the street. Has upgraded amenities such as flat screen tv and iHome unit to charge iPhone.
Downsides: Parking is $9.00 a night but the receptionist was kind enough to waive it for me.
The bathroom was small in comparison to other Marriotts of its standards but still nice.

This is a decent full Marriot's, but not the best. It has been here for a long time, and could use a little remodelling to give it some freshness. The location near all the Hi-Tech businesses in Silicon Valey and Great America Amusement Park is great, but it finally has more competition in the area, too. I have stayed here, been here for snacks, went to a company Christmas party here, and conferences.
There is plenty of parking, but it is gated and costs you. The rooms are average at best for today's standards. The meeting rooms are off on a wing, and modular to fit most needs.
The best thing about this Marriott's is it's excellent restaurant, which is innovative and creative in it's menu, and very good, even for locals looking for a great, upscale meal.
Because the land is so expensive here, their still isn't enough quality hotel rooms for the amount of global business being done in this area, in my opinion, but it is better than when there was only the old Red Lion Inn on First Street off the US 101 at the start of the technology boom.

This is a pretty standard Marriott. Amenity is nice and location is good. It is a very convenient choice for business travelers. It is right next to the conference center and only a short drive to the San Jose airport. The restaurant (Parcel 104) in this Marriott should be no stranger to foodies. If you are staying in the hotel, do dine at Parcel 104 at least once. You won't be disappointed.Recommended for:

This place is nice, clean exactly what you would expect and a better Marriott than I was even looking for to begin with. I am usually not a fan of a straight up Marriott although I'll be staying in a few this year for LA due to cheap prices I managed to find for my travels, but this Marriott almost made me think it was a Courtyard.
Now if someone can only explain to me what all the different names mean even though it's the same friggin brand.
This hotel has a nice lobby, nice entrance, extremely nice restaurant (hello Parcel 104) and everyone strives to help you find your way whether you're looking for the elevator, the back door, the restroom or the pool. I feel so much less judged here than the one in San Jose since while walking through the lobby I always tend to feel like they're wondering "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??"
The restaurant really is fantastic and I spent many a wonderful Valentine's days here.
