Sugar fish is a pretty good value for decent sushi. The fish is fresh but lacks flavor. I feel that they tend to over-sauce. Service is prompt.

    Sunny Blue

(Looks at menu) Lucky Cat? 0_o (imagines Nyan Cat)… Compared to the spammusubis I usually order, this place is so fancy! XD. As they clearly advertise, I think this is the only place that sells Omusubis around. So I was curious to try this place after reading all the rave reviews about it. The moment you walk in, you ...

    California Shabu-Shabu Santa Monica

I'm a fan. it's a la carte, but you can choose from a variety of portion sizes ranging from around 9 pieces of meat (plus veggies and udon and all the fixings) for about $16, to something of epic proportions, like 40 pieces of meat for double that price or thereabouts. in that sense, for me it comes out to ...

    Sushi Roku - Santa Monica

My fave sushi spot in Santa Monica. Always count on great spicy tuna on crispy rice. Good drinks, good crowd, ocean views. What more do you want?

    Bamboo Izakaya

I'll be honest. If it wasn't for a meeting set up by a colleague, I would never have walked into Bamboo. I'm glad I experience it though because the service is awesome and the food is yummy albeit a bit overpriced (it's Santa Monica after all). I recommend trying their creative cocktails!
