LA has a ton of great farmers markets and unfortunately Santa Monica's is only average in comparison. The produce is slightly more expensive and the selection of produce is a lot less diverse than other farmers markets. But what the farmers market lacks in produce in makes up for in convenience and presentation.

The Santa Monica Farmer's Market is a perfect stop for Sunday morning breakfast. Besides vegetables & flowers, a large collection of tasty food stalls offering crepes, pastries, Mexican dishes and artisan coffee can be explored onsite. A blanket is recommended as there is a nice loan to picnic while enjoying a meal.

Come here on a Saturday morning and you can smell all the fresh fruits and veggies. All the produce is beautiful, and you might even find some unique things like golden or black raspberries. This is also one of the few places that carry Carlsbad Aqua Farm oysters. Get them on the half shell right at the stand or buy a dozen to take home to shuck yourself.

A little pricier than the other markets, the Farmers' Market on Arizona and Third Street Promenade features lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, baked goods, cheese, etc. If you're lucky, the Border Grill Truck will be there selling delicious tacos and their special sweet corn tamale in a cone with creme fraiche.
