May travellers use this city as a base because of its location and convenience to travel to other cities in the region such as Positano and Capri - just a boat/ferry ride away. However I did love the city, its ambiance, architecture and a whole lot of acitivty to do like shows in the theater.

Naples is definitely my favorite city with its lively and mystic character. The city overflows with culture, italian cuisine and small alleys :-) Go here if you want to visit the real authentic Italy. It's rough, dirty, noisy yet absolutely beautiful.

A quaint little village that is much smaller than Capri, but they shares the same island.

Great little town and only 10-15 mins walk to Amalfi Town. We even had fire works on our last night viewed from a roof terrace. Food is cheaper here and still top class.

Great 12th-century cathedral and castle. Think Duchess of Amalfi. This was the seat of the republic in the middle ages. Great place to spend an afternoon, especially if you've got sunburn.
