A very good ice cream parlor located in the Chiado area. Created by an italian immigrant, Mr. Santini that settle in Portugal during the war. It catered the rich, famous and the exilled royalty, that lived in the Cascais area during and after WWII, among which the King of Italy, the queen of Rmania, and several othersRecommended for:

One of the best ice creams I ever tried, def the best in Lisbon! It seems you are in Italy having a gelatto when you taste the Santini's ice cream. The place is nice, there is a lot of tables, nice place to meet friends and chat. It's locate in Chiado.

For all it was hyped up to be (the best gelato in the world), I didn't think it was very special! I went twice (to make sure) and tried 6 different fruit flavours which were all incredibly true, but the consistency was a bit frothy and glossy/syrupy for me. Of the flavours I tried, the passionfruit was a clear winner. Save queueing and give somewhere else a try.

Before going into Santini Chiado, a Portuguese guy on the street shouted, "Best ice cream in the world!" He sold me, I opened the door to Santini and fell in love with the ice cream. It really was so delicious! They have great milkshakes as well.

One of the best italian style ice-cream places in Lisbon. The fruit flavours are specially nice. Great ingredients. They also sell a popular portuguese brand cake called "best chocolate cake in the world", I don't think it is the best but it is still very worth a try.
