Below you will find a good guide of Santorini.
Stay: Astarte Suites Hotel
Astarte Suites Hotel was voted 3rd in 2011 Greece Leading Boutique Hotels, and is located on the Caldera cliffs of Santorini island, having volcano and sea view, while being far enough from the busy crowds.
Rates and availabiltiy: https://astartesuites.reserve-online.net/.
Upgrades for ASW members.
Nightlife in Santorini is concentrated mostly in Fira capital city:
Try Enigma club, Koo club (After 1:30am, before that time only few people are there, these clubs are opposite to the main square)
Casablanca(nice cocktails), Tango(for first drink with nice view).
All of them are located at Fira, and are all within walking distance.
Restaurants in Santorini: Koukoumavlos(fira) tell nikos the owner hi from George from Astarte Suites hotel in case you have a problem with reservation, Sea side(perivolos beach), Sunset tavern for fresh fish(amoudi), selene(pyrgos), amvrosia (Oia).
Taverns in Santorini: Nikolas (fira), Nets (perivolos beach), dolphins (red beach-akrotiri), giorgaros fish tavern (faros-akrotiri), raki (megalochori), metaksi mas (ekso gonia region).
Beaches: Perivolos beach which is the biggest in Santorini island, beach bars there JOJO-Chilli one next to other (music+dancing), Wet stories, Sea side beach bars are more for chill out.
Red beach is great for photos since all the rocks are red, but you need sneakers because is a little rocky (in Akrotiri). Vlychada beach go to Theros beach bar.
In Santorini you won't find sandy beaches but the scenery at Vlychada beach and Red beach is marvelous.
During your stay to Santorini try : wine tasting, sunset cruise around the Caldera(contact Spyridakos company), santorinian festival(greek live music with breaking plates inside the Wine museum of Koutsogiannopoulos near the airport).
In santorini you need always a transportation mean in order to visit the major towns or beaches. However its a small island, approx. 34km from one corner to the other corner of the island.
It's always better to rent a car rather than relay on taxis, since there are only 39 taxis on the island, and the queue with people waiting for taxi in the taxi center in fira town is quite long.
Car rental varies from 40-75euro/day depending whether you want a manual or automatic car(i.e. Smart).
Avoid renting scooters or guats (4 wheelers), since these may be fun but are very slow. In case however you rent a quat, be sure to be 150cc.
Feel free to pm me for further tips since I 'm in Santorini.
Have a great time at my beautiful island.

My wife and I went to Santorini, Greece and we loved it. The views are spectacular, the pool stunning and the rooms so original. The sunsets from Perivolas are about the best you can get on the island and all just ten mins walk from central Oia. My only criticism is that it isn’t walking distance from a beach….Santorini’s beaches all really in the South of the island.
The rooms are all like brilliant white Fred Flintstone rooms and in my opinion so charming. There are hotels in the south of the island that are a bit more hotelly, I stayed in them too, but they just didn’t have the charm of the cave hotels of the north. I wouldn’t have changed anything. It’s worth hiring a car, we hired an open-top jeep which made the whole island so much more explorable.

Planing your trip to Santorini, Greece can take time, depending what is your location, which type of transfer you are going to use, and finally choosing from over 200 Santorini hotels.
There is so much to see on this beautiful Island. Starting from landmarks, you should definitely visit Volcano, Oia Fortress and Amoudi Bay. Santorini is most notable natural landmark on the coast of Aegean Sea.
If you want to explore a place hidden in a far from everything, enjoy the romantic sunsets, beaches, villages, wineries ... pack your bags and head to Cyclades. http://www.santorini360hotels.com/

Quite the charming island. Everything is built with such difference, unlike anything I have ever seen in my life- almost like a skaska (fairytale in Russian).
When looking over thousands of steps that endlessly go down a cliff, painted grey, and white rounded buildings everywhere it is just sooo majestic. As sunset comes around every evening in Oia, fireballs shoot out of the Sea, and a dark sky filled with the brightest stars (and shooting ones too) will remind everyone what romance is truly about!

Santorini's white-washed houses and blue topped churches are truly worth seeing! The island is small so you can pretty much explore it all in a couple days. I stayed in the main port town, Fira, which has the best nightlife and overall activities, but Oia is the most beautiful town and just a bus ride away.
