    Stevens Creek Reservoir

    4.5
    5 reviews

When I was working in Cupertino, I'd run along Homestead then turn left to run up to Stevens Creek Resevoir. I wouldn't advise anyone else do that because it's mostly running on the shoulder of a twisty road where people are driving much too fast. Nearby there's even a shrine to cyclists killed on this road.

    Bank

    4.5
    4 reviews

The Bank is across from the Wells Fargo Bank on Big Basin Road in the sleepy but charming upscale suburb of San Jose, Saratoga. It is on restaurant row, near Plumed Horse and Sent Sovi, amongst many other less refined eateries. You could call it a Dive bar for this neighborhood, but not as divey as on the Mission in ...

    Cooper-Garrod Estate Winery

    4
    3 reviews

Cooper-Garrod is a little tricky to find in the hills, but we finally came across it, along with some horses. Yes, there are riding stables, and you can go horseback riding throughout the estate and through the Fremont Older Mid-Peninsula Open Space Preserve. The tasting room staff was very attentive to our group of 9. We all opted to do ...

This is a charming Wine Lounge in the rear of the charming old house on Big Basin way that is Sent Sovi, near downtown Saratoga. Sent Sovi just recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, and just prior to that, they opened up this intimate Wine Lounge earlier this year. Chef/owner Josiah Slone and his sweet Burmese wife Khin Khin are down ...

    Savannah Chanelle Vineyards

They have the most fun and down to earth wine-tenders. Mike was so lively and highly entertaining - ask for him for a tasting! They really show you a great time here. The best part is the gorgeous mountain views. Take a walk up to the house & fountain for more photo ops of the mountains. I come here so ...

    Sanborn County Park

    4.5
    2 reviews

This is a very tranquil park that benefits from its out-of-the-way status - it doesn't usually fill up except for the weekend picnic party crowd. If you don't mind the $6 parking fee (this is standard among county parks) this is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon walking around or simply hanging out in the shade on a ...

    Ruthe Roberts' Wine Collective

    5
    1 review

This place is fun addition to wine tasting in downtown Saratoga. Its not really a "wine bar" per se, it is more of a "tasting room." The proprietor, Ruthe, is very personable and has found some interesting wines from around the region to share in her collective. Her tasting menu changes monthly, and she tends to showcase a variety of ...
