If you are going to the Nakuru National park and want to sleep inside it, this place seems like the place to be, however, prepare yourself to be under-impressed. Nothing is horrible here, in fact nothing is really bad. It just feels a bit poorly put together. The food is all buffet, so it does feel a little "cattle herdy", and they seem to regularly do things like forget or mix-up reservations which can be devastating. Overall it is fine as long as you do not expect it to be great. The ambiance is relaxing and nothing else around the lake seems to be recommended by those who frequent the area.

The lodge offers impressive animal lookout points. Here, you are bound to meet those ever playful baboons. Originally constructed as a tented camp, Sarova Lion Hill has successfully been transformed into a stone built game lodge, and is today one of the hallmarks of Lake Nakuru National Park. It is located about fifteen minutes from the Lake Nakuru National Park’s Lanet Gate, and for those looking for weekend get away, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is surely a place to consider.
The Lion Hill Look Out is located near the lodge, and is under the care of Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. It offers a breathtaking view of Lake Nakuru National Park. The lodge usually uses this area for bush breakfast, fire lit bush dinners and as a picnic spot– you must try these unique offerings.
