    Sayulita Plaza

    Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico
    4
    6 reviews

The place to hang any time of day, be ya 5 years old or 95. The Central Plaza is, well, central. Just two blocks from the beach on the south side of town, you would have a hard time missing it on any semi-thorough exploration of town. Restaurants and bars line the edge, street vendors -- food and souvenir -- ...

    Sayulita Beach

Great beach. Long white sand, with a couple great surf breaks (beginner/intermediate). Some restaurants along it, and a meeting place for the town. Check out the phosphorescence at night, and some good spear fishing off the rocks at the southern end.

    Playa Carricitos

Calle Vista Al Mar, Sayulita, Mexico

Beautiful wild beach south of Sayulita. You need to rent a golf cart to get here. But worth the journey. When we came there was one other family on the beach, and that was it. The water was much more clear than in Sayulita. Swimming about 50 yards off shore you could float in the blue with beautiful views up ...

    Revolucion del sueno

    Avenida Del Palmar, Sayulita, Mexico

Cool shop selling hip T-shirts and other gear with a hip, artistic flair. They had a bunch of cool shirts that took traditional Mexican iconography (e.g. a picture of Emiliano Zapata) and put him on scooters or stuck an ice cream cone in his hand. Lots of fun.

    Playa de Los Muertos

Calle Vista Al Mar, Sayulita, Mexico

    1 review

Ditch the crowds and endless hawkers! Playa de los Muertos is quiet, offers lots of shade and spectacular swimming without the downsides of Sayulita beach. To get there, walk south on the road that runs along the beach. Pass through the grounds of Villa Amor, then follow the path through the cemetery to the beach. Bonus: There is a family ...

    Costa Verde International School

    Calle Revolucion

Costa Verde is a lovely international school. My children attended last year and will be returning this year. Spanish immersion with local kids as well as children from many different countries. A small, sweet school with some open-air rooms and a cafeteria out under the mango trees.

    Lunazul Surf Shop

Marlin no. 4, Sayulita Nayarit, Mexico

    3 reviews

Good option for all your surf and beach basics, at something close to American prices. But the selection seems to be a bit nicer here. And the pricing is fairly standard fare around town. They also offer lessons and rentals for those considering a foray into board sports.

    Patricia's Surf Lessons

    2.5
    2 reviews

My friend and I decided to rent a sea kayak from Patricia's. We explained that we were novices and that we would likely be gone for at least 2 hours. Patricia gladly took a 200 peso deposit (the quoted cost was 150 pesos/hr), pointed out a kayak as the best/sturdiest for us, and we were on our way. Unfortunately as ...

    Don Pato

    Calle Marlín, Sayulita, Mexico
    4
    1 review

There is not a lot of nightlife in Sayulita, but of what is there Don Pato seems to be the heart. Located on the 2nd and 3rd stories above the plaza, this open air spot can get pretty lively. When we were there there was a live band doing classic rock. The crowd was super mixed. Tourists and locals. People ...

Non Profit, fair trade shop where you can buy beautiful beadwork made by the Huichol Tribe. Necklaces, earrings and bracelets with gorgeous fine beadwork. A bit pricier than buying on the street but the money is going to the right place.

This thriving Mexican Village is a MUST see. This is a large town by comparison and has a large American population. Is very well know for Surfing. Take a Surf lesson while your family has lunch and watches from Don Pedro's on the beach. Very picturesque. Many good stores with local art items, clothes, etc. A good day outing for ...

Pacific Coast Golf Cars S.A. de C.V.

    Calle Revolución, Sayulita, Mexico
    4
    1 review

Not the typical rental car. You can't really go all that far into the outskirts of town or anywhere beyond. But if you are staying in a house on a hill here in town -- of which there are many -- or if you have health issues, a family with small children, or you just get sensitive to the heat ...
