Just beside the Natural History Museum. Perfect for families - make a day trip out of visiting them both - you will not regret it!

Do you want to know the secret of the Universe, or how things work, or to enjoy a massive 3D screen entertainment, or just to geekiing yourself near the first ever built computers? The Science Museum has them all!
While the Natural History Museum next door deals with the 'living' (or the death in that matter), the Science Museum deals with the objects and technologies which we have used in the past and present.
It is a great place for exploring, especially fun with children while in the same time giving us insight and knowledge of how things used to and currently work.
Allow for a few hours for fully appreciate everything.

This is a very big museum, plan to spend most of the day here and bring the kids as there's lots for them. Everything from early clocks and transport through to an Apollo mission moon lander craft. There's lots of interactive exhibits too, so it's not just a "stand and stare" experience

One of my favorite things here is the old steam machines that were pivotal in bringing about the industrial revolution. They are in operation inside the museum. Great place to bring kids. Also there are several others museums right next door.

Great all round attraction for all ages. Lots of hands on for children and displays about a wide range of areas of science. Last time we went a costumed character guide talked to us about the first steam engines and had my 4 year old and 8 year old entranced!

Even if you don't have kids, go here. It's a stunning building and you can literally spend a whole day in here. You can get involved in interactive games and tests and see some great historical sights as well. Really worth it :)

Very informative but best suitable for children. If you are a grown-up, go to the Victoria

I really liked the exbits on the top floors that were a bit more low key but the rest of the museum was packed with kids which was a bit overwhelming as adults traveling without children. If you are traveling with kids this would be a great choice!

Nice museum in central London that is ideal for family visits and is free. The Science Museum Lates is a fun event for adults only that takes place once a month and is also free.

Stopped by the science museum during my short stay in London. There are a lot of different exhibits, but nothing too extraordinary if you've already been to any other large science museum. Great place to visit if you have nothing else to do, but your time is better spent elsewhere if you want to really get to know London.

Fun for children of all ages. There is so much to see and do here. The part I always remember is something my father pointed out to me when I was young - the pendulum in the foyer which demonstrates the rotation of the earth.

Amazing place, with a lot of culture, fun, curiosity. You could find a F1 car crashed from Mika Hakkinen, the capsule of miners of Chile, huge place with planes, astronaut stuffs, a little piece of rock of moon, replicas of fantastic boats, go with a lot of time because you can find a lot of beautifull things.

The Science Museum is for geeks, scientists, and the generally curious (like me) who love to tinker with things to learn how they work. Interactive exhibits fill seven floors, from solar system, locomotive, and rocket models to demonstrations of thermal energy, magnetism, fluid dynamics, and physics. The space gallery was my favorite, and I could have run around here all day and still not have seen everything.

Science Museum is good. Not my favourite of all the London museums by far... but Science Museum has the most brilliant Lates of any of the museums. Last Wednesday of the month, drinking, dancing, exploring. With different activities, bars throughout, and my favourite portion of the night - Silent Disco. Definitely worth checking out.
