This is a nice hotel, although it is a bit out of the way from the main tourist attractions. Great stay, though, with comfortable rooms and reasonable rates.

The old adage “never judge a book by its cover” applies to the Seaport Hotel. The hotel sits in a pretty non-descript building; I actually almost walked right by it thinking it was just an office building. There’s no mistaking it for an office building once you get inside. The lobby in the hotel is quite grand, and there’s a giant restaurant that was hopping with customers when I visited. The rooms are just the right size, and the muted décor has a good, warm feeling to it. The fitness center was impressively large and the pool looked nice, though it’s only four-feet deep. The hotel’s location is probably a driving factor for luring guests since the hotel is easy accessed from Logan Airport via the Silver Line, which stops right outside the hotel.

I was thoroughly impressed. It’s not a super-modern behemoth like the W building but it does have friendly, attentive service and a varied range of different room options. Specifically, there are six different types of rooms and two different views, giving you a chance to shop depending on what your budget is. Every type of room is equipped with the same extensive list of amenities (minifridges, umbrellas and hairdryers). Best of all, there’s complimentary Wi-Fi no matter what room you pick. Dining consists of one restaurant, one bar and a café. The restaurant, Aura, is on the high-middle side of expensive (actually, so is the bar) but their menus are diverse. There’s also live Jazz in the bar every Tuesday. The health club wraps around an entire floor and has all the different machines, services and facilities you could want, as well as very welcoming attendants. The Seaport appears to be another popular business trip/convention location, and I’d heartily recommend it over the Westin, which you can see from the street.Recommended for:Business Travelers

Had our annual company meeting (and holiday party) here. It's separated a bit from downtown Boston, but cabs are plentiful and cheap if you want to go into town. It's also right on the Silver Line, so it's an easy trip from the airport. Best of all, it's one of the greenest hotels in Boston!
