Seaside Aquarium is one of the oldest Aquariums on the West Coast. Founded in 1937, the aquarium is privately owned and the descendants of some of the founders are still active in the aquarium operations. The aquarium is involved in many public awareness programs including The Marine Mammal Stranding Network, The Necanicum Esturary Discovery Program, Haystack Rock Awareness Program, and Sea Week. Young or old, you'll discover plenty to 'fathom' at the Seaside Aquarium's Discovery Center. The Center provides a chance to view special exhibits featuring fascinating sea life and have your questions answered by the friendly staff. You can actually touch sea anemones, sea stars, and sea urchins in the 'Touch Tank'. And don't forget to feed the Harbor Seals!

The oldest Aquarium on the Coast, where you can feed the Seals, view local sea creatures (most of which are rescue animals), and the kids can have a hands on experience in the open tank. Also has a great little gift shop!

Other reviews point to the tiny tanks, overstuffed seals, and general suffering of the creatures. I did not see this, because this "family friendly" attraction DOES NOT HAVE RESTROOMS. We skipped it altogether. Hit the donut shop down the street.
