Hostelling International Seattle at American Hotel

Hostelling International Seattle at American Hotel

I was impressed with the cleanliness and general high level of organization at this hostel. Lots of hostels are pretty grubby (and this one's in a pretty grubby neighborhood) so it was nice to see how tidy it was inside. Laundry facilities, a short walk to cheap and late-night food, and a colorful and friendly dining room make this a ...

The front desk staffer told me that they're going to be renovating all of their rooms by the end of 2013, so it's a little tough to judge this place, but in general I found the decor overly angular and the sense of luxury a little forced. Their pricing is dynamic (like airlines) and their fitness center is kind of ...

A little nicer and a little cleaner than other budget hotels by the airport. One nice feature of the location is that it's just across the street from Angle Lake, a tiny body of water with a public park. None of the other airport hotels are walkable to this particular lake so it's a nice feature for families.

Perfectly functional Best Western located in the Denny Triangle neighborhood. It's not really in downtown, but it's very close nearby, so if that's what you're looking for it's perfect. It's just down the block from The Hurricane, one of Seattle's only all-night diners (Seattle is weirdly terrible at late-night food) so if you know you'll be pulling in late or ...

Really liked this high-personality hotel and the aggressive red decor. Youthful and urban ambiance really suited the location, which straddles downtown's shopping district and Belltown's nightlife (and just steps from the Cinerama). Breakfast isn't included but there's a restaurant downstairs. They also have a thoughtful array of coffee and toiletries out if you forgot yours. Bicycles to borrow!

Good! - 79% of guests recommend

This Holiday Inn is just next door to a Holiday Inn Express (they actually share a parking lot) but the Express is generally a little more expensive because they have an included hot breakfast. I thought that the non-express Holiday Inn was a little nicer; definitely a plusher lobby and the quieter vibe makes this the obvious choice to me. ...

Doesn't look like much on the outside or the inside but at least it's clean which is more than I can say for other motels in this price range. It's perfectly located if you're coming for a Seahawks, Sounders, or Mariners game, as it's just a few minutes from the stadiums on foot. You'd have to stay in Pioneer Square ...

Embassy Suites Seattle - Tacoma International Airport

Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

This Embassy Suites isn't really by the airport, although they have a shuttle, it's better described as "near the Southcenter mall". The rooms are well designed for an extended business stay -- the layout is akin to a one-bedroom apartment and they have more than the usual number of home appliances (and two TVs!). The architectural feature of note is ...

We called last minute and got a room and were pleasantly surprised by what a good deal this turned out to be. It was a block from Seattle center. The place was clean and comfortable and the staff was amazingly helpful with our clueless questions. Our room was next to the elevators which worried us but must have been soundproofed ...

Ok, so the rooms here were good enough, but I cannot say enough about the amazing indoor atrium and courtyard at this place. It was just shockingly great. Greenery, tasteful outdoor lounge furniture, plus a year-round indoor pool adjacent to the fitness room. Absolutely extraordinary. One of the most fascinating properties I've ever been to.

Really liked this Radisson. Try to get a room with an eastern window so you can get a view of the natural lake out back -- a breath of fresh air in the congested Airport business district. The pool was clean and pleasant and the fitness room was surprisingly big. Friendly service and a nice homey feel. 5 stars

What a great renovation of a classic building. All the furnishings have a great antique feel but the odd shapes of the rooms (necessitated, I'd guess, by the vagaries of remodeling) keep the vibe off-kilter. Add the great location and the low price and this is a can't-miss for travelers looking to kick it on Broadway.

This is a fun location across the street from the water, lovely views, walking distance to restaurants on the water and an elevator to the Pike Market. Tip: check prices at the Edgewater if comparable I'd stay there but if you are getting a deal at the Marriott then by all means you will enjoy your stay.

This hotel isn't really near the airport, it's basically inside the Southcenter mall. Consequently, if you don't like the in-hotel restaurant, there are loads of affordable restaurants a short drive or long walk away from the front door. There's also a Tully's coffee shop inside the hotel. The rooms are large and designed for working away from the office. The ...

The most important decision when booking a room here is: waterview or city view? The waterview is clearly much prettier but a little nosier because it's right on Westlake Ave, an arterial where traffic goes 40 - 45. Personally I was more excited about waterview but if you're really sensitive to noise maybe choose the other side. This hotel is ...

Great hotel! Very nice and clean. The room even had a smell of cleaning products, which being a germ phobe, I liked. Had a room on the 14th floor for 3 nights, 2 beds. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. View wasn't spectacular at all. Booked on priceline for $78 a night. Def would not stay at the going ...
