Wow! Ivars on the Seattle Waterfront is a fantastic Restaurant, especially if you love Seafood! Throw some french fries to the Seagulls? If you dine inside Ivars you may be fortunate enough to get a window! Go to the brand new Ferris Wheel beforehand! Why not! A few steps away is the Seattle Aquarium, also! Lots to do!

    Le Panier Very French Bakery

    4.5
    10 reviews

This bakery always has a long line in the mornings and I can see why. Their flaky croissants have become my breakfast staple. Especially the chocolate one. I also loved their chocolate/almond paste combo. They also sell a lot of tarts and macaroons.

    Shiro's

Melt in your mouth sashimi. You have to sit at the counter and experience omakase at least once if you are a big sushi fan. It's not only fun, but exciting to see what Chef Shiro will hand you next. He educates you on the fish, where it's from, and what's special about it. It's a very fun and unique ...

An expensive place but worth it! Great vegetarian options (and non veggie people really love it as well of course) - super foodie restaurant with a great variety of fresh produce and fish (from pike st). Next time the company wants to pay for me to eat here again, I'll be all over it!

    Canlis

Canlis offered one of the best meals I've ever had in Seattle. It's fancy yet unpretentious, tasteful, exquisite, and so refined. The food and the decor! This is the perfect date place, boys and girls. Prepare to empty out your wallets because if the bill doesn't kill you, your credit card payment will. I got to try my friend's Pappy ...

This is a great place for some fresh seafood. The restaurant is very nice, but you can dress casual and the staff will still treat you with much respect. The black cod and crab cakes were delicious! Definitely try the chocolate almond upside down cake too. YUM! If you have a window table you will also have a great view ...

Come to Matt's before walking through the market, that way you won't ruin your appetite. The food here is fantastic! With all the fresh ingredients literally right outside their door, you know that everything is going to be delicious. Their lamb burger is to die for, as is their pork belly banh mi. Portage Bay Cafe & Catering

Fresh, organic, large portions, group/kid friendly... it's no wonder why Portage Bay is one of the most popular brunch spots in Seattle. Even at 10am, we still had to wait 30 minutes for a table for three. And the place is HUGE too. While the fresh fruit topping station looked very tempting, I decided not to get pancakes or french ...

    Umi Sake House

This is definitely a place to rush into from 4-8p if you find a spot on the front porch or at the bar. It's 4-6p otherwise if you happen to sit in the restaurant. Happy Hour here is very extensive with food that is about a buck or two higher than the typical discounts, but the quality is what makes ...

On the advice of a fellow Gogobot Pro I gave this place a shot and I have to admit that I was glad that I did. The menu was unique to say the least, but I forced myself to go and I truly enjoyed it. I had the PB&J Bon Bons as a starter and the Poutine and Mac&Cheese as ...

If my waistline could handle eating here every day I would. Okay, maybe that's because I order the "Buttermilk Fried Half Chicken" and it comes with amazing mashed potatoes and buttermilk biscuits.

    Tavern Law

It is a great prohibition themed speak easy. The downstairs section is the library, but the real gem is the upstairs section. You have to call from the phone to check if there is space upstairs, which is kind of a pain. However, it is worth it. It is very cozy upstairs with great custom-crafted cocktails.

Two words - Bacon jam. I heard about this place when they were featured on the Food Network. My friend had just moved back to Seattle so I asked her to check it out. She sent me a jar of bacon jam. It's wonderful stuff. You put it on burgers, steaks, crackers, basically whatever you want. When I visited recently, ...
