One of the most memorable dining experiences that I've ever had. You must order the muscovy duck for two, it's a gorgeous and delicious entree. They are also known for their impeccable service and wonderful views of Seattle. The valet guys even rememeber which car you drove in with no ticket.

    Beecher's Handmade Cheese

1600 Pike Pl, Seattle, Washington 98101, USA

Beechers has the best mac and cheese, also try their sandwiches and take home a hunk of cheese goodness. YUM! The Beechers cookbook is great. Now when I crave mac cheese I hit Costco which sells their flagship cheese and crack open their cookbook. It's an all day process but, worth it. Otherwise go to the Beechers shop!! They also ...

    Piroshky Piroshky

1908 Pike Pl, Seattle, WA 98101
    20 reviews

Anytime I go to Seattle I am sure to stop by here for a hand-crafted Russian pastry. They are the most perfect snack to fuel up while walking the shops of Seattle's Pike's Place Market. Do not miss a chance to try the chicken, rice and mushroom puff. If you're in the mood for sweet instead of savory try literally ...

    Stumptown Coffee Roasters

    616 E Pine, Seattle, WA
    5 reviews

In Seattle, there's literally a cafe on every corner and a staggering number of them are awesome. The thing that makes Stumptown a cut above the rest is the fact that they roast their own beans right at the cafe. There are even seats down in the roasting area so curious patrons can watch how their perfect cup gets made. ...

    4225 Fremont Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103
    21 reviews

If you're looking for a great sandwich, this is the place to go. The sandwiches are a bit messy to eat, at least I thought so, but that's because they stuff the sandwiches pretty full. We didn't have an issue with long lines when we went, and we were able to find a table in the small shack that is ...

    Serious Pie

316 Virginia St, Seattle, WA 98101
    31 reviews

I've written about food in Italy for the past 10 years, so I consider myself pretty well-versed in pizzaiology. And Serious Pie is serious about their pizza. Wood-fired (is there any other way?) and perfectly chewy on the inside and lightly charred on the outside, the dough itself is a feat of nature. We got the buffalo mozzarella and tomato, ...

    Armandino's Salumi

    309 3rd Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98104
    13 reviews

This cured meat shop in Seattle's Pioneer Square district comes care of the Batali family, the very same that gave us star chef Mario Batali. Salumi has, bar none, the best salami, pepperoni and other deli slices in the Pacific Northwest. They spice, cure, smoke and dry all their meats in-house, so the smell in the shop is amazing. People ...

Granted, I can't say that Seattle is someplace that I would go looking for good Cajun/French food, but you will find it at Toulouse Petit Kitchen. Located close to the Space Needle.

    Chukar Cherries

    1529 Pike Pl # B, Seattle, WA

Another long-standing vendor at Pike Place, and with good reason. The cherry is one of Washington State's proudest agriculture products, especially sweet Bing and firm Rainier varieties. You'll definitely find plenty of fresh cherries at one of the market stands, especially in the summer, but Chukar is the place to go for great cherry flavors in the off-season. They make ...

    Starbucks - Pike Street

102 Pike St., Seattle, WA 98101
    8 reviews

This is the first ever Starbucks ever to have existed. (Excuse my passive voice, it's actually quite exciting!) Street performers dance in front of this cafe that looks quite unlike any other Starbucks. It has a lot of character. It reminds us that, despite its current domination of the coffee world, Starbucks started as a small shop.

    421 E. Thomas Street

Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood has more restaurants per square mile than just about any city in America, so it's easy to overlook even a great place to eat. That goes double for Resto, a tiny eatery tucked away in a mostly residential block of Thomas Street. It's well worth seeking it out, though. Resto's menu changes every day to capitalize ...
