Are you kidding me?! how can I visit San Diego and not pay Shamu (the fifth? sixth? or seventh?) a visit?! The park has many amazing and interesting creatures and exhibits to visit. Truly a whole day could be spent here browsing, watching shows, and learning more about these wonderful sea creatures.

IF you want to spend the day with water creatures and rides and be down by the Bay, then this adventure is fun. The price seems high, but if you're going to bee here for a few days or longer, getting the Fun Pass is the way to go! :)

Come for the penguins and stay for the beer tasting! Who knew they would have beer tastings with chocolate, cheese and fruit platters?

Sure it's touristy and perhaps not the most humane, but I still have a blast whenever I come here. I love the shows - the sea lion is the best. I love the petting pools - touch a ray, it's amazing. And I love the aquariums - sharks.

It is a huge place, you could easily spend a couple of days there. You must see the dolphin show, the sea lion show and the orca show. Really clean I loved it. Spend an extra few dollars and get the behind the scenes tour. We got to go and see where they kept the sick fish and where they fed them plus a whole bunch more. Very interesting

Very nice place. It's more aquarium than theme park though (less hands on, more viewing). It also is not the best to go during the winter months, but it's not crowded then.

I actually worked at Sea World in high school and during summers in college. I'd run the Behind the Scenes tour and I highly recommend it! You get to check out a shark lab in the back and get preferred seating at the Shamu Show which can otherwise get pretty hectic if you don't get there super early because it fills up fast. Another can't miss show is the Dolphin Show- one of my favorites :)

I have fond memories of going to Sea World as a young girl and being mesmerized by Shamu and his underwater friends. Unfortunately, the magic was gone when I returned as a "gown up". What I once viewed as magical now seemed corny. I could't help but feel bad for the dirty polar bears and other sea creatures trapped in the tiny cages and pools. The rides were fine, but not worth the hour wait I endured. This park may be worthwhile to visit if you're a child, but for adults I recommend you go to the ocean just a mile west and witness the real sea world that exists free in nature. From Cabrillo National Park you can watch whales migrate south, go kayak in Mission Bay with the sea lions and watch the seals come ashore at the Children's Pool in La Jolla. Now that's an adventure! and it's free!

SeaWorld is a blast but go as soon as they open. It gets crazy by 12p. Make sure you go to what you want to see right away. The dolphin and sea lion shows are by far the best and a blast to watch.

Incredibly entertaining and educational! This park is very clean with pleasant crowds and short lines. If I lived close, I would get a season pass.

As a child we visited the long since shutdown seaworld in ohio and that was fun. We visited seaworld of san diego a number of times as season pass holders and it just wasn't the same. Everything was heavily commercialized, restrooms were gross, and the food was overpriced and bland. Even my daughter grew tired of the park and requested that we not get passes again. If you want to enjoy marine life, visit the aquarium in la jolla instead.

Not only is this an aquarium, but they have rides (log flume), and animal shows. I had breakfast with Shamoo which was a neat experience.

Sea World is ok. The animal shows are cool but then I got bored. It's good for a half day. I think the zoo is wayyyy better.

Awesome park. Great smart animals. You shouldn't miss Shamu, Blue Horizon and Arctic animals. We arrived at 10am and couldn't see all the things till 4:30pm. There is a nice grill restaurant there.
