A bit of an architectural curiosity (the building is inspired by Swiss chalets) which would otherwise be incongruous, were it not for being in the slightly offbeat Barranco neighbourhood. It was the one-time home of sculptor Victor Delfin, whose works are scattered around the mainly art deco interior. Not especially cheap by the prices you'll pay for an equivalent standard of accommodation elsewhere in the city, but charming an unique. There are just five guest bedrooms and, mercifully, an outdoor pool for when the days are hot and sticky.

Highly Recommended. Reasonable prices for a beautiful place and excellent service. Unique experience in a breathtaking home overlooking the ocean. There is even a pool on the property which is rare for bed and breakfasts anywhere.

This mansion is located in the bohemian Barranco neighborhood of Lima nestled on a cliff overlooking the ocean. As a group of four, my friends & I opted for the 5th bedroom with the two double beds and the enclosed patio. Splitting this among four adults really made the price a great deal, allowing us hotel-quality comforts after a strenuous Inca Trail experience in Cusco. If this place didn't exist, I would have had to pick between the funkier hostels of Barranco or the bland comforts of the chain hotels of Miraflores. As we went a few years back when we were in our mid-late 20s, we felt too old and worn from the hike to do a hostel but too "young" to settle for any typical hotel either. Since this establishment is owned by a famous Peruvian artist Victor Delfin - with its five bedrooms managed by his daughter - expect to see amazing artwork at every turn. Cross your fingers for a tour of Victor Delfin's studio!
