This adults-only enclave situated on one of the Mexican Caribbean’s most beautiful white-sand beaches hit it out of the park with our readers when it came to romance: No. 1 among all resorts in Mexico with an almost-perfect score. Not surprising, then, that the 412-room all-inclusive is a big hit with honeymooners, who flock to experience its winning formula of gorgeous views, rooms with private terraces and Jacuzzis, plus a full slate of daily activities and amenities—14 restaurants/bars, a 13,000-square-foot spa, a pool that feels as large as the ocean just beyond—ensuring that if you leave your room, you’ll never be bored.

Omg, this resort is my first all-inclusive and I can't be enjoying it more!!!! Unlimited food and drinks, 24-hr room service, personal concierge, choice of pools, and a private beach!

I shared a room with someone and what we weren't expecting was a room in the Penthouse (the main building with the lobby). Our room had a private pool on the balcony (can be filled with hot or cold water) with plush seating/bed; our bathroom had a hot tub with water jets too! The balcony overlooks the entire resort and you can see the ocean on the horizon. If you can, get a Penthouse room! As I walked around the resort, I saw through the plants that there were a couple buildings where there's a private pool for the ground-level guests. I don't believe there's public access to those pools.

    Choice of restaurants --
Main building: World Cafe is a buffet and is open for all meals. On the lobby level, there's also a Mexican, French, and Italian restaurant. The French and Italian are only open for dinner it seems. Himatsu, a Japanese restaurant located inside the main building requires advance reservations to get in!
I liked the seafood restaurant (Oceano I think was the name) -- seafood paella! There's also the Barefoot Bar and Grill by the swim-up bar.

The swim up bar is pretty neat...drink while chilling in the pool? Awesome! There's also the pool next to it that looks like an infinity pool while you're in it. There are waiters who come up to you if you're lounging around to get orders for drinks/food! There's also a shallow wading pool with dining tables and a ping pong table; great way to stay cool. Beyond the pools is the entrance to the private white-sand beach. Again, there's wait service for drinks/food. Don't forget to take a look at the list of activities that the resort offers! The non-motorized water sports are free and they also have a schedule of sports games, classes, and evening entertainment/shows everyday.

I absolutely loved the service here. When you say thank you, they respond with, "My pleasure."

If you want to leave the resort, there's a tour group called AmStar that we used to excursions. They were really professional and organized. We went snorkeling by the El Dorado resort (15 min away from Secrets Maroma) and we also visited the Tulum ruins.
