Beautiful red rock landscapes, and a history of cinema and Native American heritage characterize Sedona, but it is also known for its 'energy vortexes' which have earned Sedona a reputation for being a spiritual power center.Recommended for

Loved Sedona! I thought St George had red mountains! nothing like Sedona!!!
We were there at high season and limited hotels, we did find a great little place called La Vista at one end of uptown...totally private, had 1 bedroom plus a queen in the living room...99 a night!

Sedona is a wonderful place. You can go there again and again and never get tired of it. Sedona is situated in such spectacular setting - you are guaranteed to have a great vacation, especially if the weather is nice. There are incredible hiking trails around there. You can also drive around the mountains and admire beautiful red rocks. Sedona has a lot of restaurants and art galleries – stop at some fine art shops/galleries (not the cheap souvenir stores) to admire some of the beautiful art works.

So a lot of people told me I'd love this place and wouldn't want to leave. I didn't quite get that impression though. I feel bad, because its rating suffers from it. It was picturesque, yes; however, it wasn't revolutionary (this part of the country is VERY picturesque). I also only spent a half day here, so I didn't get to experience much. It's a very pretty place and if I could give it another half star, I would. I definitely would recommend stopping here on your way to Flagstaff or Phoenix. I should probably get back here again and see more. So when 3 stars says "liked it" I'm telling the truth. I liked it.

I was quite impressed. Can't say the city seems to have much to do, but the nature is quite beautiful. If you're going to be in the area anyway for the Grand Canyon or Phoenix, I'd say it's a must see!
