Walk a meandering path or ride a cable car down to the restaurant to enjoy old world charm and fine food.

If you want elegance, ambiance, and quality food, this is it. This is a place to go for special occasions, my cousin got married here, I choose it for birthdays. I can't say I've tried too many dishes here - I'm a fan of the prime rib - not the huge, fat laden, flavorless version slapped on a plate so many places, but rather a reasonable portion, meaty with minimal fat, and super tender and flavorful. And after a great meal, the cute cable car will get you back up the hill!

This is the go-to place for a romantic or special occasion meal in Santa Cruz County. A stroll down the beautiful garden pathway or the ride on the quaint little tram car to the restaurant entrance will set the tone for your visit. Delicious food served in several dining areas, from the more casual Rock Room to those overlooking Soquel Creek, will not disappoint.

I had one of the best brunches ever here, and the dinner is also good :)
Back in 2008 we were here for our anniversary, the place is super cute and romantic, very good service and amazing brunch food, both savory and sweet.
We recently visited again for dinner, it was good, but does not compare to the superior brunch.

A cozy, flavorful, special restaurant. If you are looking for a relaxing and elegant experience in Capitola this is it.
Upon arriving take the cable car down and you will be smiling from ear to ear, or walk down the garden paths beautiful lush plants. Either path is delightful.
One of my favorite parts of this place is the bar upstairs where you can do wine tastings on the week days or listen to live music on the weekends. It's a cozy and alive place that allows for a memorable night.
I highly recommend the Thai pizza that they make in their pizza oven in the bar... Delish!
Downstairs is a more romantic setting that you will need reservations for and also there is a simple dress code.
