Shake Shack - Madison Square Park

Inside a park is not where one would expect to find a tasty hamburger and shake place. But learn to expect the unexpected! The shakes and burgers are both very tasty, and fairly priced to boot!

Beautiful building and the namesake of the district it is located within. There's not much else to do, but look at it and appreciate the unique shape.

President Teddy Roosevelt lived in this house from his birth to the time he was 14 years old. Although it's reconstructed, Teddy niece, Alice Roosevelt Longworth helped the architects with what she remembered the house was like when she visited there.

    The 40/40 Club

0.12 mi from Shake Shack - Madison Square Park

The 40/40 Club is a reflection of co-owner Jay Z's affinity of sports and style: sports bar with a touch of class and a menu with good eats to share and martinis to sip. The staff is a little rude and impatient, but the drinks, food, company, and gigantic tvs compensate for their behavior.

Came here on a Monday for an early happy hour. The place was chill and pretty empty. They had plenty of tvs to catch some of the football recaps from the day before. The beer is reasonably priced here and bartenders were cool. Would like to comeback here to try out their food.

Fun homeware store where you will find all sorts of fun dishes and glasses, including vintage china and authentic auntique pieces. My favorite are the Chinese inspired plates and porcelains and the vintage signs.

Very unusual and interesting complex of several older buildings put under one roof and housing an interesting and extensive collection of old books, manuscripts and art. Don’t miss their collection of ancient Assyrian stamps. Library rooms are richly decorated and have a very cozy and lived-in feel. Walking thru these rooms it is easy to get transposed back in time ...

The former Jefferson Market Courthouse constructed in 1876 with Victorian Gothic Lines and its striking turettes is a perfect example of New York's European influence. Serving as a women's courthouse until 1932, it is now part of the New York Public Library and one of the most distinct landmarks in Greenwich Village.
