My friend and I wanted to try out this place because of the extreme proximity to our apartment. Walked there on a cold LA night. Warm greetings from the server.
We both got the jazzy BBQ burger, and a side of garlic fries.
The good- bacon was great, the BBQ sauce was amazing. Fries themselves were very addictive and had a great texture. Server was friendly and checked in with us multiple times.
The not so good- burger patty wasn't so great. The reason- i know because I was watching the cook make it- he packed the burger patty too hard and handled the meat too much. The result- a hard hockey puck of a burger patty. Overcooked as well. Garlic on the garlic fries we requested was straight up chopped raw garlic and parsley- yes, technically that is garlic and fries but would have been nice if the garlic were a little softened on the stove, to mellow out the garlic flavor. But I'm being picky because I love garlic fries. My friend had ordered a tea and he got it after a long wait- they had to boil a whole pot of water to make his liptons bag of tea, but they did apologize for the wait.
I want to give this place another chance for sure, and try their BBQ. If that sauce was any indication of their skill I definitely have something to look forward to.
