Best cheap eat in town!
We found out about Shawarma Reem from our private guide/driver. In fact, on the second day we were with him, he stopped the car at this little corner shop and helped us order take out for dinner. Although, if we ever travel back to Amman, we now know Reem only serves one item: shawarma. Easy enough to order right?
Wow, just thinking about Reem makes my mouth water. Marinated lamb was shaved off a huge rotating spit, then wrapped in pita bread along with tahini sauce, tomatoes and onions. It was quick, flavorful, tasty, and cheap! Not to mention that this place was so popular that people double parked and blocked traffic in the Second Circle. No one honks. Perhaps its out of respect for the great food people are waiting for.
Cost: about 2-3 JOD a piece. I recommend buying two per person. The size of the shawarma was neither big nor small.
