One of the best things about this hotel is that it has three brand new places to eat and all have happy hours. At Lucy’s Cantina Royale, that means two-for-one tacos and frozen margaritas from 4¬–6 p.m. Happy Hour at the sushi bar in the lobby, Bar Tanaka, is from 6–8 p.m. and includes $5 cocktails, beer specials and rolls from $2–7 each. Then, at Vesper, the Shelborne’s slick bistro, you can get $6 menu items, two-for-one beers and ½ off martinis at the bar, from 6–8. And you get to enter via the kitchen, just like a gangster. (No, really, that’s how people are led into the restaurant.) The cabanas look almost as comfortable as a proper hotel room and the pool scene always seems pretty lively. Make sure you book a renovated room—they’re so much modern and clean-looking, but there are just 50 of them so far. (The rest still have older decor.)Recommended for:Nightlife Lovers

Great hotel right on the beach. New Premiere rooms are fanstastic and the restaurant Vesper has some of the best food on the beach. Concierge are helpful and front desk team is over the top nice and friendly. Whole experience was fasntastic.

The Shelborne is a world unto itself. A great big James Bond world. This is visiting South Beach in the style of the old grand hotels. Decked out. Unlike many of the boutique hotels in town, where the purpose seems primarily to have a relaxing place to rest after playing out on the town, the Shelborne is a place to rest and play, and dine, and sunbath, and play and rest again. There are three excellent restaurant options, plus a groovy black lounge - all with fantastic happy hour specials. These are all great spots - I'd come to eat and drink here even if I was staying elsewhere in South Beach! And the pool is an attraction unto itself. One of South Beach's big resort pools, just off the beach. Shoot, I wish I was dating someone rich who really wanted to impress me, because I'm ready to go back...

The 1940's Art Deco Shelborne South Beach has undergone a $20-million renovation and has three new restaurants. The hotel will feature art exhibitions in its lobby during Art Basel and back-to-back parties. Definitely on of the hot spots during this years Art Basel fair.
