Better than expected for a Sheraton. The rooms appear to have been updated fairly recently. Felt a bit more like a Westin -- i.e., slightly more modern. The property is massive but does a good job of accommodating a high volume of people. The in-house Starbucks is a plus; however, the lobby is so large that a few homeless people have taken up residence without any notice from the hotel staff.

Great value and location for downtown Boston. Good amenities and rooms. It's attached to a mall and the Hynes Convention Center. So it's the ideal place to stay for conferences there, and a gives decent options for dinner, dessert and shopping in the mall.

convenient location for both business and pleasure, average hotel, nice enough staff. room was not ready upon arrival and I did not receive a phone call when it was as promised, had to call them hours later to follow up only to hear "someone should have called you".

The Sheraton Boston is located in the city and is connected to the Prudential Centre. Great location, good food and the rooms are of the standard that you would expect from a Sheraton. I would recommend for short stays or business trips.Recommended for:

Like other hotels in the area, the Sheraton’s making an effort to try and be both green and business-friendly: their business center is huge and there’s a Fed-Ex in the building. Their in-house dining options are pretty lacking, limited to mainly coffee and sandwiches (I guess they figure you can just wander around in the Prudential center, which you can, but I still find that disappointing.). There is at least a decently-sized pool in a nice clean area. This is basically just an average stay that trades off of the business convention crowd, and if you’re in town for something like that then it’ll probably be decent enough. But the Marriot on the other side of the Pru is cheaper and within walking distance to Copley. Go with that one if you have the choice.Recommended for:

I felt wholly unimpressed with the Sheraton Boston. It’s location in the Prudential Center is good, but when I entered the hotel from the Prudential it felt desolate. Honestly, walking through an entire floor full of empty hallways and convention rooms to get to the lobby floor made me feel like I had survived a zombie apocalypse. The actual lobby wasn’t much better as it had a bunch of unstaffed desks, which led to a fairly long wait for us. Even worse, when I got to my room, there was a dirt stain on one of the quilts, a definite turn-off. I was on one of the lower floors of the hotel, and the view from my room was of the HVAC system in the next door building. On the plus side, the pool and fitness center are both pretty decent.

We had a beautiful suite at the Sheraton with a comfortable living area and large bedroom. The room did look a little dated, but that is some of the charm of being in boston anyways. We took advantage of the gym which was great- a little busy in the mornings as expected. For the price, we thought this was a great choice.

Two Words.....CONFERENCE HOTEL!
For what it is, it's quite convenient. Connected to the Hynes Convention Center (ideal since I was there for 10 days!), Prudential Mall, and tons of restaurants.
But as far as Sheratons go, it's nothing spectacular. Rooms are average, decor was ok, and service was expected. Even with my conference discount, it was REALLY pricey!
Convenience does come at a cost.
