This Sheraton is located very close to Civic Square Park where you can find the state capitol and city hall. It's also a short walk to the 16th Street mall ride. They charge high rates for parking here, even for hotel guests, and for the internet. It's a rather large place so the staff also isn't always the most chipper. The lobby, dining room and mountain views are impressive, nonetheless. You might have a better experience if you're a VIP.

The Sheraton is a huge two building complex fronting 16th Street Mall—a fabulous location, with its flurry of restaurants, bars, and pedestrians, than doesn’t get more Denver. The entrance is quite grand, with huge dancing bronze sculptures on a bustling round-a-bout and an extensive lobby beyond that looks like it could hold a couple football fields. The rooms are bright and peppy with a slight retro-mod feel—a nice surprise for a big chain hotel. King-size guest rooms are reserved for the main building, doubles for the annex (a rib-like walkway connects the two buildings over Court Place Street). The outdoor pool is in the annex, and is a highlight of the property. Set among the high rises, and surrounded by lounge chaises and umbrella tables ala Caribbean beach resort, it invites you to stay and relax awhile. My only hesitation about the hotel is its size—though I don’t doubt that the service is good, I wonder how personalized it can actually be.

The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is like its name, in downtown Denver. It is right at one end of the 16 Street Mall, toward the Broadway end of it, in fact.
So the hotel has a great location. It also has a great 5 piece bronze scuplture in the front of the entrance.
It has two towers, the old one, and the new one, which are connected by a covered hallway that crosses over the street, like a habitrail for Denverites, which can be really useful in the winter time here. Sheraton has spent chain wide a lot of money sprucing up their global properties. The new tower is remodelled, the old tower, well you can't tell. So try to get into the new tower if you can.
Rack rates here are generally between $200 and $300. But they often run specials, so getting a great rate under $19 is definitely possible. They also have a lot of conferences here, so group rates are available often, too. Rooms are average in size.

There’s something about the Sheraton that says “business traveler” to me, but I have to say it’s a perfectly good hotel for casual visitors and even families. The location can’t be beat: at the eastern end of the 16th Street Mall with a free mall shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. The hotel pool is a few stories up and has awesome chaise lounges and even four-poster beach beds, while the fitness center has floor to ceiling windows and a huge array of cardio and strength machines. Rooms are modern and sharp, and some of the king rooms have extra-large bathrooms, which is always nice. There are actually two buildings, connected by a sky bridge; I don’t think it makes a huge difference which side you’re on, as the whole place was renovated inside and out a few years ago.
