In 2001, I snagged a room at this hotel through Priceline for $120 a night. That year I fell in love with both the Ka'anapali and Wailea areas. The Sheraton Cliff Bar has a cliff diver ceremony every night. It's great to sip a Mai Tai and watch the show.

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, like most of the other major hotels on the beautiful island of Maui, is an exceptionally high class and well respected establishment. You'll find luxurious accommodations, helpful staff, and an absolutely beautiful natural setting. As part of the Sheraton family of Hotels, you can expect excellence and accountability from everyone working here. They have a tours and activity desk from which you can easily book any tours you might want to enjoy while on the islands. Don't hesitate to stay here if you have a chance. This is one of the best hotels in Hawaii.

Had a great 5 day vacation staying here. I love the vibe of Kaanapali - not too quiet, not too loud, just right. I mean, it's definitely still a tourist destination and a lot of things are done for tourists (souvenirs anyone?) but it's not crazy loud like Waikiki beach and not super quiet like Wailea.

The only negative is that I wish the resort would let us resort hop, at least within the Starwood properties. I mean, the Westin is near by, but we couldn't hang out at their pools and it would have been nice if we could have just for a day or two.
