I really like this hotel. You can take a complimentary bus that will take you all over. The room was really well appointed with marble and super soft bedding. The staff was very quick and courteous. Though toward the end of my stay I had the oddest conversation with the front attendant. He had asked me whether I was enjoying my stay? I had told him that I did. Then he asked me what I thought of the people. I told him I thought that people were chipper. Then he asked me whether I was traveling anywhere else. I told him I was heading to New Zealand next. And then he went off on a personal testimony how everything and everyone was great over in New Zealand. I was a touch taken aback by the monologue but took it at face value. He was a nice guy all in all.

The Sheraton, situated on the western edge of Hyde Park with a prime CBD location, goes for the classic big-city luxury-hotel experience, and on a whole succeeds admirably. The lobby explodes with marble and plush carpets and heaps of polished brass, the rooms are all of lovely 5-star standard (think bathrooms in black marble and dark wood), and the parkside rooms command excellent views. The staff are traditionally formal and solicitous, and on a whole, the Sheraton's status as Starwood's flagship Sydney hotel really shows both in service and facilities, but also in the mostly older and well-heeled clientele populating the swish lounge areas and restaurant. This is the classic upscale city-center hotel, and though the vibe won't serve everyone, it does what it does extremely well.

I stayed here in 2008 on a business trip and found it a great hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with a little couch in the room for a psuedo "living room" area. There are lots of shops nearby and lots of taxis available in the area. The service here is as you would expect, friendly but not over the top. I didn't actually eat here, so nothing to add on their food, but I'm sure it's your standard hotel fare.Recommended for:Business Travelers

As you would expect from a Sheraton, this hotel is nothing short of luxurious, elegant and sophisticated. With a grand staircase gracing the lobby you can’t help but feel you’re onboard the Titanic rather than in a modern hotel. There is a choice of two views - city side and the more expensive park side – but regardless of what you see out the window, all rooms offer the additional touches that other high-end hotels may forgo. Free wi-fi, walk-in wardrobe, chess table, fruit bowl and bathrobes but to name a few. On the 22nd floor there’s an indoor pool, day spa, sauna, steam room, 24-hour gym and outdoor terrace. If you really want star treatment, an Executive Club is one floor below. Even if the Executive Club is off-limits, the downstairs brasserie, bar and restaurant are decadent and swanky. Styled in deep plum and maroon tones, the space resembles something akin to chocolate fondant. A space that you want to plunge into and soak up many a good cocktail!
Sheraton on the Park has a health club, an indoor pool, a spa tub, a steam room, and a sauna. This five-star Sydney property features a business center, wireless Internet access, and meeting rooms for small groups. Sheraton on the Park has a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a coffee shop/café. 24-hour room service is available.
Amenities featured in guestrooms include air conditioning, coffee/tea makers, and minibars. Guestrooms have cable television with pay movies. Business-friendly amenities include desks, voice mail, and in-room safes (accommodate laptops). Bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers, bathroom phones, and bathrobes.
