My favorite hotel in Hawaii! You really can't beat the location and the view. Make sure you get an oceanfront room. Convenient to everything Honolulu has to offer---beach, restaurants, nightlife, snorkeling. I like Honolulu over Maui because you get the beauty and the nightlife.Recommended for:

Recently the sheraton was renovated and looking modern as anything. The restaurants are pretty funky and the pool area is pretty different and awesome for the kids to play marco polo. It can be a little bit expensive, however it is an extremely nice resort.Recommended for:

I've stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki ever since I was young, and it's always been one of my favorite hotels. It's one of the most ideally located hotels in Waikiki. The hotel is set back so it's away from the crowded strip and the view of the ocean is incredible, especially if you have an oceanfront room. The rooms are very spacious and have been updated, but are still fairly ordinary. The views definitely make up for the plain interior!
Rumfire is located at the hotel and is one of the hottest lounges in Waikiki. The infinity pool is also one of the best hotel pools in Honolulu.Recommended for:

The Sheraton Waikiki recently completed a $187 million make-over to freshen up all aspects of this iconic hotel of the Starwood group. It is situated right on the beach at Waikiki, and is next door to the Grand Dame of Waikiki hotels, The Royal Hawaiian, which is also a Starwood property.
With over 1600 rooms and 80% of them with a good view, you can't go wrong with staying here. Many of the rooms have a Diamond Head view with the Waikiki city lights, and that is the kind of room we got upgraded to as a Starwood Gold member.
The hotel has its own group of shops, and has several restaurant choices in-house, from casual to upscale. There is a Peet's coffee and even a Baskins-Robbins concession near the pools.
The pool area has been redesigned, with 2 jacuzzis that can fit 20 people each with a spectacular view, and a huge pool complex with water slide and various sub-pools. The most dramatic is the ocean edge pool that seems to meld with the pacific waters of Waikiki.
Rooms are average size, but have been updated nicely, and Sheraton has one of the nicest and most comfortable beds in the industry (and I have stayed in over 100 different hotel properties in the past 3 years, so take my word for it.) Our room had a flat screen, college-like fridge, desk, and we got complimentary WiFi as a gold member. ($14 a day normally). It also had an odd shuttered pass through to the bathroom? I guess for those honeymooners who want to watch each other take a shower while getting "ready" on the bed?
Every room does have a balcony with 2 chairs and a table.
They have a multi-story parking garage that is shared with the Royal Hawaiian guests. Self-park is $25/day, valet is $33/day.
The common areas are spacious, and there is a large PC work area in the lobby, with 7 PCs, a printer for boarding passes and free lobby area WiFi and 2 long tables with plenty of power outlets for your laptop.
The hotel is family friendly or romance friendly, or even great for a business/pleasure mix. Rooms are not cheap, with rack rates from $435 to $850 a night, but almost nobody pays rack rates, and you can find cheaper deals at special times. For instance, in April, a King city view is going for $199.
In my case, I got the room for free. with my Starwood Preferred Guest points. Under their system, this property is 12K points per night, when available, and the fifth night is free, with no blackout dates.

The room is nice and clean and spacious and modern and very comfortable. The views are great, the sunset is wonderful, the breeze is wonderful. The pools.. the infinity pools.. the large infinity pools are very very luxurious. Not to mention all the wonderful wo.. erm, I mean other guests are very polite. Hahahaha! Of course minus one star because I'm not the only one who likes this place. If you're too slow for the pool, elevator, or anything else of importance you'll be crowded out by all the tourists.

A great hotel right in the heart of Waikiki. They have an awesome open air lobby, offering daily crafts and game area. Often, they have a huge sand castle being build right in the lobby area. Sometimes it's a theme like Christmas, or something Hawaiian. The Infiniti pool is definitely something to check out while you stay at the hotel or just strolling through. Their RumFire bar is also a great place to grab some drinks, pupus (appetizers), and watch the sunset.Recommended for:

Nothing says summer like floating at the Sheraton Waikiki's Infinity Pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The hotel's a winner for location, hipness, restaurant/bar, service, and great ocean views from Diamond Head to the westside.Recommended for:

I have stayed at this HUGE hotel many times. It has recently been renovated so the rooms are comfortable and a bit more modern.
What the hotel also did was extend out a pool on Waikiki Beach.
The pool was a good idea but now the hotel has almost no existing beach in front of it.Recommended for:

Filled with vacationing families who let their kids loose on the gargantuan pool complex out back, the Sheraton is one of Waikiki's better beachfront hotel values. Kick back with a cocktail in the RumFire Lounge, where you might catch an acoustic slack-key guitarist, or fill your belly at the vaguely tropical buffet.Recommended for:

love this hotel. they recently re-did the pools and restaurants, and we love coming here either as an adult getaway or with the kids. the infinity pool is amazing! the rooms are spacious and up to date with flat screen tvs and the beds are just "heavenly". get an ocean front room, and you will walk into the room and feel like you are right on the water. it is so nice to stay at this hotel just for the weekend and feel like we were able to take a mini vacation! we recommend this hotel to all our visiting friends and they love it.Recommended for:
