Shoko is a beach club. Depending on the night, it can be pretty fun and poppin, or pretty lame and empty. My advice is to try and go on a good night, and if it sucks, just have fun being on the beach. You can usually get in free before midnight if you say the name of a promoter (when I was there in Jan-April 2014, it was "Aashi's List"). For you if you care about clubbing, not the best club in my opinion. But again, it IS on a beach.Recommended for:

If you want a fun (and yummy) dinner on the beach followed by dancing and cocktails, Shoko is the pace for you! Located on the wonderful Puerto Olympico, you will love its vibrant ambiance and international group of people.

Shoko is the legendary beach club in Barcelona where breathe the essence of the city, dining options near the sea and an exclusive atmosphere. Shoko is a Japanese-themed lounge, restaurant and club located right on the beach in between Opium Mar and Sotavento. Frequented by both tourists and locals, Shoko is a popular destination, especially during the summer months. The interior is designed with lavish Japanese decor and comfort in mind.
The club consists of a dance floor, multiple bars, an outdoor terrace and VIP sections along the outside of the dance floor. Shoko is also a restaurant and lounge, and is open during the day serving food and drinks. The club is open every night of the week, with closing and opening times depending on the event taking place that night. On some nights, promoters offer free cover passes before a certain time. Otherwise, cover charge ranges from €10 to €20. Expect to pay around €10 to €12 for a mixed drink. The club attracts international talent on a regular basis, but the music policy on most nights is dance, top 40, and house. The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists looking to meet people and party the night away.
