Consistently good / friendly Chicago bar. Nice and clean with a somewhat industrial atmosphere. The crowd is consistently good (and good looking) on the weekends but most people are pretty down to earth. They could be a little more inventive on the cocktails but as long as you stick to the basics you are fine.
The lines can get pretty long. When the weather is really cold, you might want to show up a little early -- especially if you don't want to bring / check a coat.
Love the roof deck in the summer.

If the sound of "Sing-a-long Sunday" or "Musical Monday" puts a pep in your step- you'll feel right at home in this well established and HUGE Boystown bar. With bars inside the bar, a maze of rooms and a lavish retractable ceiling, handsome gay men aren't the only ones attracted to this venue. A "must do" for the gay traveler.

What can I say about Sidetracks that hasn't already been said by a hundred other big hairy gay guys who love good friends, nice drinks, and show tunes? Nothing. So just know that you should go there, hang with your friends, have drinks, and enjoy a sing-a-long.

Hellafun gay bar.
If you like Broadway showtunes, or even if you can just moderately tolerate them, you absolutely must come here for one of their Show Tunes nights. It's an experience that should not be missed, especially once you've had a few drinks.

Show tunes and slushies keep the LGBT crowd coming back to Sidetrack, which many have said is the best gay bar in Chicago, or perhaps, the world! You can't go wrong with the Ketel One Crush--you'll want to try one even during the cold winter months. You can always warm up by dancing around and belting out your favorite stage songs.
