Enjoy the view that you'd get from the observation deck but do it with a cocktail. A really lovely bar offering one of the best views in the city. Yes, it is touristy but it really is special.

If you don't want to battle the crowds to get to the top of the Willis Tower, head over to the Hancock. On the 96th floor, you'll find the Signature Lounge, where you can grab a drink while you take in the fantastic views of the city.Recommended for:Art & Design Lovers

If you want to see Chicago skyline views from above, without the 2-hour wait from the Willis Tower, then this is your place. Take the elevator to the 96th floor for a bar seat, a cocktail and sweeping views of the Windy City. For a proper dinner, make reservations ahead at the Signature Room. Both have spectacular views and reasonable wait times to be seated. It's free, apart from the drink you will be having. The best time to snap pictures is at dusk, when the sun is setting!

The Signature Lounge is in the 96th floor of the Hancock Building, facing west. At sunset and night there are fantastic views of Chicago and the suburbs that makes the overpriced drinks worth it. The bar is usually busy so you might have to wait for a couple of seats at the tables along the windows.
There's an attached restaurant, but skip it. There's much better food elsewhere.
