This old mining town which is the end of the line for the Durango/Silvertown narrow guage railway is a must see both summer and winter. You can drive it from Telluride in summer over the Ophir pass.It is a dirt raod but can he tackled in a 2 wheel drive road if it is dry and you proceed with drive slowly so your passengers can enjoy the view. Come back via Red Mountain pass and Ouray and the hot springs on the bitumen on one of the most scenic road in North America

An Interesting town of 300.
It has the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train.
As well as skiing for the adventurous!
My favorite place to stay is the Teller House.
The hotel and the restaurant have amazing employees that make you feel right at home!
