    Orchard Road

    155 reviews

Orchard Road is Singapore's shopping ground-zero, and the spot to buy clothes, electronics, shoes or anything else under the sun (though shopping in Sing isn't the bargain it once was!). Otherwise, it's the city centre, clean and well-connected, with good restaurants and plenty of touristas.

Sentosa is like its own little world and in some ways it reminds me of Disneyland. They're in their own little bubble of touristy attractions, but unlike Disney (which I find rather boring), they have a lot of fun attractions - mostly involving animals. You can check out tons of insects and birds at the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, ...

    Merlion Park

    148 reviews

I tend to avoid the tourist hot spots but this is a nice one and while in Singapore you should try to visit, not only to get a snap of yourself besides the Merlion, but for the gorgeous view of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. And it's free.

    Universal Studios Singapore

    118 reviews

Some careful planning is needed here to make the trip a success. There are good shows that if you mis-time your visit then you are left with only the walking around part which can get pretty hot.

    Singapore Flyer

    64 reviews

At 541 feet tall, the Singapore Flyer tops all other wheels by 16 feet—for now, at least. Each car holds up to 28 passengers and takes 30 minutes to complete a full rotation—ample opportunity for soaking up views of the marina, city skyline, and distant Indonesian islands. It also happens to be feng shui approved. In August 2008, feng shui ...

    Singapore Botanic Gardens

    57 reviews

It's a very lovely place to drop by on a weekday's morning. You can throw a picnic on the giant green grassfield and do some jogging afterwards. There are a lot of cute doggies there which I loved the most. You might have to walk a lot but it's worth it trust me. Bring your most comfortable sneakers here. This ...

    Night Safari

    58 reviews

You don't get to touch or get too close to the animals as your on a train going through the whole safari. The whole time I was wondering how these animals don't escape as you don't see a fence. But apparently there's this invisible fence that if they did cross, it would trigger the staff. Usually it's day time when ...

    Singapore Zoo

    51 reviews

The Elephant Show at the Singapore Zoo. There are a lot of things to do at the Singapore Zoo if you decide to "roam" around all day long. There is a Splash Safari Show in the morning, Elephants Of Asia Exhibit, The Great Rift Valley Of Ethopia Exhibit, and the Australian Outback. You could also enjoy buffet breakfast together with ...

    Little India

    60 reviews

One of the more distinctive neighborhoods in the city. There aren't many attractions per se but it is well worth visiting to get a sense of the neighborhood, have good Indian food, and visit a hindu temple. Don't miss Mustafa Center. Sunday evenings are particularly lively and crowded -- my favorite time to visit. Diwali also a perfect time to ...

    Jurong Bird Park

    47 reviews

The Jurong Bird Park is fun for a few hours of family frills. The walk in aviary is the largest in the world and the kids will probably feel like Mugly from the Jungle Book the way I did way back when. Just don't watch Hitchcock's 'The Birds' before you go. Highlights for me were getting eyeball to eyeball with ...

    Singapore Cable Car

    42 reviews

The cable car ride itself is not unlike any other aerial trams in the world...but the idea that it used to be THE way to get from the City to Sentosa that makes the Singapore Cable Car a must...but now, it is still pretty awesome to traverse from Sentosa to the top of Mt Faber with views of the city ...

    National Orchid Garden

    28 reviews

Both my mom and I love the National Orchid Garden, and we always try and go if we're in town together. It's a massive garden, with lots to see and just beautiful orchids of different types everywhere you look. Given the tropical climes of Singapore, the orchids grow amazingly well here. The orchid garden is a really nice, relaxing way ...

    East Coast Park

    30 reviews

The favorite spot for Singaporeans to escape the concrete sprawl of their city-state, this long (15km+) ribbon of grassy coastline on the south shore of the island makes a lovely spot for a stroll, a run, or a bit of rollerblading. As a bonus, offshore you can see the endless miles of cargo ships lining up to enter the world's ...
