    Orchard Road

    Orchard Road, Singapore 238874 Singapore
    154 reviews

This is a great area to walk in the city. You will find almost every luxury store you could want. The restaurants are numerous and very good. We also liked to people watch as we strolled at various times up and down the street.

    Sentosa Island, Singapore 099891 Singapore
    142 reviews

Sentosa is like its own little world and in some ways it reminds me of Disneyland. They're in their own little bubble of touristy attractions, but unlike Disney (which I find rather boring), they have a lot of fun attractions - mostly involving animals. You can check out tons of insects and birds at the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, ...

    Universal Studios Singapore

11 Sentosa East Mall, Singapore 099054 Singapore
    116 reviews

Excellent for family outing but rides mainly for the brave. There should be more rides for the faint hearted who can't enjoy those exciting rides. Place rather hot. It is not as big as in US or Japan. Easy access from the city.

Btwn New Bridge Road and Cecil Street; Upper Cross Street and Cantonment Road, Singapore 059418 Singapore
    118 reviews

A great place with cheap food, lots of interesting sights (especially for tourists) and great bargains..... ..... ..... well only if you're street smart enough to steer clear from the (obvious) stalls catered for tourists. Try the nearby Maxwell food centre for good eats instead of the many (expensive) restaurants along the "Main" Chinatown stretch

    Clarke Quay

3 River Valley Road, Singapore 179024 Singapore
    105 reviews

A pleasant spot to walk along the river and a little less touristy than Boat Quay. Really comes to life in the evenings when the restaurants and clubs are a buzz.

    Night Safari

80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 72 Singapore
    57 reviews

The Singapore Night Safari is one of the better activities for children in Singapore - and a great way to experience animals you wouldn't normally get to see in action. It's a little pricey, but the tram ride and the experience of seeing animals moving around make for an unforgettable evening. Don't forget your bug spray!

    Singapore Zoo

80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 72 Singapore
    50 reviews

The Singapore Zoo is incredible. It's the best zoo I've been to. All the animals looked well cared for and most weren't pacing or looking bored. The 'cage-free' design makes it especially easy to take pictures. By public transportation it takes almost 2 hours from Marina Bay. Taking a shuttle from Chinatown or Little India is probably worth it.

    Singapore Botanic Gardens

1 Cluny Road, Singapore 259569 Singapore
    54 reviews

Nominated as a World Heritage Site (Singapore's first), the Singapore Botanics Garden dates back to 1859. It is a great place to be introduced to tropical flora. Giants with enormous buttress roots and bizarre and fascinating works of nature - from cannonball flowers to palms with aerial roots. Pay a fee to go in the orchid garden. It is worth ...

    Jurong Bird Park

2 Jurong Hill, Singapore 628925 Singapore
    47 reviews

The Jurong Bird Park is fun for a few hours of family frills. The walk in aviary is the largest in the world and the kids will probably feel like Mugly from the Jungle Book the way I did way back when. Just don't watch Hitchcock's 'The Birds' before you go. Highlights for me were getting eyeball to eyeball with ...

    Singapore Cable Car

109 Mount Faber Road, Singapore 09 Singapore
    41 reviews

The Singapore Cable Car was one of the most exhilarating cable car rides I've experienced. It was not like a normal short cable car ride throughout an amusement park. The ride brought us to Sentosa Island by passing many buildings, ocean of water, and freeways! At night, the ride back was beautiful as you could see all the flashing lights ...

    ION Orchard

    Orchard Road, Singapore
    40 reviews

The mall is large and fun to explore if you like shopping. I found the food court most interesting. It may be more pricey than other food courts in Singapore, but it's also much nicer. There is also an MRT station right below the ION Orchard.

    National Orchid Garden

1 Cluny Road, Singapore 25 Singapore
    27 reviews

Both my mom and I love the National Orchid Garden, and we always try and go if we're in town together. It's a massive garden, with lots to see and just beautiful orchids of different types everywhere you look. Given the tropical climes of Singapore, the orchids grow amazingly well here. The orchid garden is a really nice, relaxing way ...

    Sands SkyPark

    10 Bayfront Avenue Singapore 018956
    24 reviews

Usurprisingly, it's hard to find many pools with a more stunning view anywhere. Unfortunately you're likely to have to share it with a lot of other people. Unless you go at quieter times (early evening?) forget about swimming properly. And yes, this goes for the area reserved for hotel guests as well.
