The Sistine Chapel is a site to behold, offering artwork of such majesty as to bring people closer to God! Of particular brilliance and beauty is the Last Judgement by Michelangelo. It is amazing how beautiful the chapel is, and it certainly reaches to the Heavens.

The Sistine Chapel is a painting masterpiece, located inside the Vatican Museum. If you have a guide, be sure to stick to them to hear about all the symbolism on each painting and the context behind the scenes. Pictures are forbidden, but you know, if you don't have flash on, just go ahead, it won't hurt.

To see such iconic art in person is transformative. I had studied parts of this extensively in college so to see history come alive had a profound effect. Stunning.

The Sistine Chapel is one of Michelangelo's most renowned works, made infamous by the panel depicting God's creation of Adam. The gallery itself is larger than I expected and it is difficult to photograph, as they tend to herd in as many people as possible and then yell "NO PHOTO NO PHOTO" while everyone snaps away. It's another must see in Rome, however.

There is a guard inside the chapel who will make a constant announcement and say, "No pictures!" The tourists will disobey his orders and take photos anyways. It's hard not to. The pictures tell a lovely motif of Christianity and the creation of the world. Your neck gets cramped after staring at the ceiling after a while, but it's worth it to view a historic masterpiece.

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel is such a unique and beautiful place – it’s not to be missed. Find a place on a bench along the wall, sit back, look up and let it all sink in. Audio tour helps a lot to understand and appreciate this magnificent work of art.

Zowie mooie. I don't think there's really anything that needs to be said about this place. If you have any interest in the Renaissance period at all, you should go here. Otherwise, you probably don't care.
