It may be the second largest city in Slovakia, but Kosice feels more like a quaint little town than anything else. The city center is very walkable, and there are lots of historical sites to see. St. Elizabeth's Cathedral is worth a visit.

Zilina isn't touristy town. It is an industrial down with several big factories and railways. I stumbled upon this city, and it wasn't really pleasurable. However, if you speak Slovakian, you can get a lot of information to explore the nearby mountain area. There were absolutely no information for the international travelers.
