The ride is fun, but I didn't think it was worthy of the immense lines outside. Something like this makes much less sense in Florida than in California.

A wonderful ride that has you feeling as if you are hang-gliding over California. It's a fun ride for adults and kids as you are lifted 40 feet into the air while watching a panoramic IMAX movie showcasing the beautiful scenery of California. Some of the sites you'll see include The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Redwood Creek, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Los Angeles, San Deigo, and more. Not only do you feel like you're flying but thanks to the magic of Disney the theater also fills with the scent of orange groves, evergreens, and the sea. Keep on eye out near the end for a quick greeting from a certain tiny fairy as well.

I'll never forget the looks on my kids' faces during this ride. It's so cool - literally and fugitively! Truly a genius of a concept. Be sure to get a Fast Pass first thing in the morning.
Once on the ride, be alert to things you smell...

You must do this!! Here is our tip--arrive at the park when it opens and go directly to Soarin'. 1st get a Fastpass then get directly in the regular line. Ride it the first time from the regular line. Then get on a second time with your Fastpass! You will want to ride again and again! Take time to smell the ocean air, the forests, and the orange groves!

This seems like a boring ride. All you do is watch a movie about California. BUT, it's amazing how you really feel like you are "soaring" above CA. You can smell the pine trees and orange groves.

Soarin' Epcot is a copy of the same ride from California Adventure in Anaheim. It makes much more sense to people who have been around California and the experience is not quite the same in Florida.

One of the best rides from Disney's California Adventure comes to Disney World! Enjoy the thrill of hang gliding over the Golden State, complete with thrills and the soothing scent of citrus groves. Yes, the multi-sensory attraction is a hit, causing long lines to potentially form. Don't miss it!

Loved this ride! Well worth standing in line if only once. You will totally feel like you are hang gliding over different locations, with wind blowing in your face and the smells of the area wafting past. In particular I enjoyed the smell of the orange trees. The line up was made more bearable by large screens at one point that allowed the groups in front of them to play a motion controlled video game with other groups along the line.
