Our favorite place to stay in Chicago. Very sleek and elegant plus the Cafe Des Architects for lunch of dinner is fab!

What a groovy place this is in a great location to boot.
I am a big fan of the Sofitel brand and this place does not disappoint. The rooms are bright and airy. The concierge was incredibly helpful. Great restaurant and bar with a great Foursquare special. Walking distance from many great restaurants. Enjoy yourself, you are in Chicago for cryin’ out loud!

This is a gorgeous hotel. Simply put, the restaurant is elegant, the bar area is classy and the location is perfect for exploring the Magnificent Mile, Gold Coast, and River North. If you can book a suite, all the better, the layout of the rooms is fantastic and it really ends up feeling like a home away from home. Modern and classy, this is a hotel that beckons you in after a long day of exploring the city. The beds are comfortable, the service is impeccable, and whoever designed this gem is a genius. Definitely worth a stay.

The sunny outdoor terrace is my favorite place in this hotel during Chicago's short summer but I also love the dark wood and modern furniture reading room lobby. It feels like Europeans run this hip luxury hotel and that is commendable to me.

Everything about the Sofitel is focused towards pure luxury and class. The rooms are sterile-clean and the service follows suit. I had a great time here. They have a neat room service package called “Movie Night” that includes fresh popped corn, candy, and soda. It is located a few blocks from the John Hancock, and the views of the water and city are incredible. It is a short walk to the redline, but there is a lot to do around the hotel and you could probably be happy just exploring things nearby. The rooms are stylized modern with rich colors and elegant beds. This place is gorgeous.

Any hotel that takes the trouble to print and staple copies of the current day's LeMonde, in French, for lobby browsing, is one I want to stay in. This hotel threads the needle of managing to be ultra chic without being snobby. The gorgeous and spacious breakfasting patio was swarmed the sunny August morning I was there. This French hotel chain is deservedly beloved for their comfy feather beds. I did not experience the food, but in the elevator I overheard one convention-goer tell another it was the best food he’d ever had at a conference. I am glad the hotel welcomes pooches, but found their $200 pet deposit to be excessively high.
