      Great place to stay and centrally located in Montreal. The bar is not cheap, but the service and room accommodations are amazing. Definitely stay here if you get corporate discounts.

      For all the hype around the Sofitel, I wasn’t overly impressed, not to say there was anything specifically wrong with it, but based on the price point and the reputation, I have to say I was expecting more. The lobby was definitely the highlight, colorful and modern with a touch of refinement, it really does leave an impression. However beyond that, I found the rest of the hotel pretty uninspiring, the rooms were standard, nothing above and beyond what you would see in any hotel and even the meeting rooms and event halls lacked a certain something. I admit that I did like the staff there, they were friendly and helpful, and one might say this is assumed in the service interest, but not every hotel delivers on that. Other than that the restaurant is pretty nice and I hear they have some great menu options for dining or cocktail hour. My general feeling of this hotel is that there is nothing to complain about, in fact it’s a good experience, however nothing to boast about either.

      This was a very nice hotel. There seems to be a lot of people who work here and they were very helpful. It looks like they remodeled the lobby but not yet the rooms (which seem outdated). The location is in walking distance to museums and shopping. The breakfast we ordered was really pretty but didn't blow me away.
