Soho Grand Hotel

310 West Broadway, New York, NY 10013
21 reviews

A trendy, luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Soho that boasts both a cool design and a great vibe. The illuminated metal stairs are a dramatic industrial feature, especially when combined with the Old World decor in the upstairs lounges. Don't miss the newly reborn Whiskey Bar on the second floor, stocked with 50 American whiskeys. Gogobot filmed a ...

The Meatball Shop - Stanton Street

0.81 mi from Soho Grand Hotel
    31 reviews

For the best meatballs in the city, look no more. With two locations in Manhattan and one in Williamsburg, you'd better go early to catch a table; they are always packed! I highly recommend the meatball smash with mushroom sauce, an atypical burger that will have you rolling your eyes. The polenta side is also to die for, I can ...

They are famous for their cupcakes but my favorite is their banana pudding and cheesecakes. Avoid going on weekends or between 5-8 on weekdays. The line gets very long. If you can only go on the weekend get their early when they open to have the best selection options with no wait

    Joe's Shanghai Restaurant (Chinatown)

0.61 mi from Soho Grand Hotel

This place is the perfect antidote to cure my Shanghai nostalgia. The pork soup dumplings are some of the best I've ever had and the overall communal feel of sharing a table with complete strangers instantly transported me into a local restaurant on Nanjing Road. Expect some lines; yes, the food is that good!

0.8 mi from Soho Grand Hotel
    29 reviews

I got to sample some Italian specialties here for an event so thus not a review of a whole meal of the service. An assortment of antipasti were very fresh and tasty such as marinated olives and mixed wild mushrooms. A platter of very thinly sliced cured meats were very good. Here's an insider tip: ask for the truffle honey. ...

    Pommes Frites

Crispy, greasy, with spicy vinegary sauce in contrast. Pommes Frites was the capper to many of my nights in the East Village. They'd sometimes deliver to our bar...or was that Taco Loco?

    Bubby's

0.27 mi from Soho Grand Hotel

Great for round the clock comfort food, Bubby's is famous for their delicious pie, but there are tons of other great things to enjoy and the extensive menu is pretty certain to have something for everyone on it. Highlights include the sourdough pancakes and Caesar salad and the veggie burger is a great option as well.

As someone that doesn't have a sweet tooth, I have no real platform to be reviewing this shop. I can say that there's a great variety of interesting flavors and that the creme brulee one was pretty memorable.

In terms of atmosphere, this place is more like a bar than a restaurant. It's really loud (great playlists) and pretty fun. The food is nice - I had lots of little dishes - and the table service is good. The seater and bar staff on that night were on the wrong side of curt however. Fun for large groups.

    Rice to Riches

0.44 mi from Soho Grand Hotel

This was one of the "hit" spots on my first trip to NYC! It's one of those places that is just a must try because it's different. I'm not a huge rice fan. The texture was quite interesting. I would recommend every to check it out. Walking in, I was absolutely shocked at the number of flavors.

Mmhm those are bones filled with marrow. Minetta Tavern is a real class act. One of the best burgers in the city, with a gorgeous French steakhouse menu. The decor is largely unchanged in the last 100 years, but the food is oh-so-up-to-date.

The first few times I went here, I took it for what it appeared to be - a small taqueria, serving great tacos and constantly packed over its 15 or so person capacity. But then I went with a friend who asked for a table. Led down nondescript narrow stairs in the back and through the basement kitchen, I came ...

Had a delightful, pre-fixe brunch here, which consists of an entree, a cocktail, dessert and tea or coffee. The omelette (chevre, spinach and tomato) was pretty good, but it was the home fries that shone (and not because of the grease - they were relatively un-greasy): Perfectly crispy with just enough onion for flavor. The greens that were served with ...

Xi'an Famous Foods - East Village

0.78 mi from Soho Grand Hotel

Xi'an Famous Foods is from the western providences of China and vastly different from the Chinese food most are used to. Cumin is a key ingredient and when they say something is spicy...it's Hot! I love it and recommend the noodles dishes and the lamb burgers. It's more of a take out spot, but their are some tables.
