I walked into Soho South Cafe thinking it was going to be a typical cafe, but to my pleasant surprise, I discovered a cafe enclosed in a warehouse mixed in with a cool art gallery. The food is good, but you're really hear to look at all the neat artwork.Recommended for:

This is another perennial favorite, and now officially my preferred lunch spot. It is fun, funky and everything that you put in your mouth tastes good, truly good, from the creative spinach salad, to the potato salad and flavorful homemade soups. I have never been able to duplicate the traditional comfort food duo, grilled cheese and tomato soup. Three cheeses go into the former, one being smoked and sourdough is the bread of choice. The tomato basil bisque…well on a rainy day, you can’t beat this pair. The female chef/owner makes you feel like an old friend and the servers are mostly SCAD students. The newer sidewalk seating under the market umbrellas is so Euro’.
