Good food. A lot of sour items... I don't know why? Nonetheless, it was a very tasty and interesting dinner. First came the Boquerones (description: boquerones, pickled quail egg, asparagus, crispy ham). Ok i had no idea what boquerones was, I just knew it was some kind of fish because it was in the fish section. Hey, let's be adventurous! ...

Stopped by here on the way home. Sis & I shared a slice of Blue Velvet Cake & a Watermelon Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich. The Blue Velvet Cake is definitely something totally different cause I don't think there is any place in the bay area that makes that so that's definitely unique! There's blueberries in the cake which I loved. ...

Since you are on Gogobot I think that the odds of you loving this store are pretty high. This is primarily a bookstore that focuses exclusively on travel related books. There's a mix of different city guides going across the spectrum from Lonely Planet guides to Luxe guides. There's also a good selection of travel narratives and large, photography focused ...

Wax=Pain=Gain Okay, waxing your eyebrows isn't really THAT painful, but getting waxes is a definite gain for beauty. This cute, small boutique had everything I needed today, and that was definitely a BROW WAX. I got mine done by Jennifer who is super nice and sweet. My brows were a wreck coming here, and she cleaned them and shaped them ...

This is one of my favorite places to go if I'm looking for a dress for an event or wedding. They've also got tons of shoes, accessories, swim suits.... They have MANY different designer brands and almost everything is on sale! I've found designer names 60% off. You also get 10% off on your birthday, so don't forget to ask ...

Right across the street from Beverly Center Mall. This place has: Nordstorm Rack, Marshalls, CVS, Corner Bakery, Souplantation, Yogurtland and a couple more small stores. There's a parking structure so no need to fret about finding parking around the area. The only thing that bothers me is that not every store validates for parking.

I've seen the Backstreet Boys here twice, for free. During the winter holidays, snow is dispersed in the air. The shopping center has the places I frequently go to, including The Gap, Barnes & Noble, and the Apple Store. The atmosphere is very upscale and comfortable.

My favorite painting in the world (Treachery of Images, Rene Magritte) is at LACMA, so of course, the museum was tops on my list of things I had to see in LA. The museum itself is incredible - the architecture, layout, and overall design of the exhibits - just awesome. I loved it. The collection is outstanding, and the temporary ...

Opened in 1934, during the Great Depression, this is Los Angeles's original Farmers Market. It began when San Fernando Valley farmers, lacking middlemen for their produce, were given an opportunity to rent stall space on idle land in the Fairfax area in order to sell their produce directly to consumers. As part of a 1941 expansion and reconstruction project the ...

This is probably my favorite place to shop in the LA area. The mall is large and sometimes a hot spot for celebrities. But the main point is that it's got ALL the stores you'd ever be interested in from a nice selection of Rodeo Dr to your typical Gap and American Eagle. You will also find a healthy selection ...

Ok, this place is SUPER fun - even if you're not a lingerie addict, (which I am). Even the window shopping is awesome. I love driving by around the holidays, as they've got every naughty elf costume and bad Mrs. Claus outfit known to man! If you can conceive it, they've got it. It's on La Cienega, walking distance from ...

We went on a lark after spending the morning at LACMA. $12 general admission for adults, an additional $25 if you want to tour "the vault," where they keep all the droolworthy cars in their collection that aren't on display. The museum itself is fun - carefully curated so you can stroll through in about an hour and see a ...

This is a great music venue and bar. Pleasantly, the music is in a separate room from the bar, so if you are just in for a drink, you don't have to have it at full volume. I dont get here much, but when I'm in town and looking for some quality sound, it is where I go. In contrast ...
